What will happen if we connect two batteries to each other?

If the poles are connected red1 to red2 (+) and black1 to black2(-) the result will be a longer lasting battery charge which can perform longer. When connecting red1 (+) to black2 (-) and using red2 (+) and black1 (-) as output, the output voltage will be the sum of the two batteries (12V + 12V = 24V for car batteries). Subscripts "1" and "2" denote the first and second battery. Never use this output on a car or truck, unless the truck is the type that works from 24 V. Never use batteries of different condition combined, unless temporary for emergency.

My x trail radio turns off after the car gets warm

Sounds as if you have a loose ground connection or power connection. Clean connectors and check to see they are firmly connected.

Nissan X trail 2008 - No spark after engine overhaul!

check that the crank shaft sensor is connected and properly adjusted (air gap). Check that the cam shaft is connected and properly adjusted (air gap) . Check that all connections are tight .You may have to use a scanner to reset the CPU as the program becomes corrupted if the battery was disconnected for a while. Check that the immobiliser id working.

Why does my battery light come on in my '02 trail blazer

It's usually on if the alternator isn't charging. You'll have to connect a voltmeter to the battery terminals. If it reads 14 - 14.5 volts you'll have to look elsewhere. If it reads below 13 volts the charging system is not working. The alternator is quite often the problem.

02 Trail Blazer. 4 wires(dk blue,light blue, orange and blk) at drivers left floor panel not connected to anything. Doors not locking. Appears to be an open circut. What would connect to these 4 wires?

These sound like the door lock wires:
Orange=pos+ 12v
Blk=neg- ground
Dk/Blue=Lock
Lt/Blue=Un-Lock
You can check with 12V test light
Look behind the plastic kick pannel for a plug leading through the door boot in the door jamb.

Good luck!!

I cannot start BMW 545i normally.

Your car battery is dead. Or the cable from the battery to the 12V terminal has a bad connection.

98 cadillac deville battery wont hold a charge

sounds like a 12V drain on the system, like a trunk or glove box light that won't shut off.> Could be many. many other reasons why. The way I would find the draining circuit would be to remove the neg cable of the battery. I then would connect a 12V test light between the neg battery TERMINAL and the neg battery CABLE. With a 12V drain the light will shine. I would install into the light a 9V battery powered recepticle to hold computer and radio station memory. Then I remove fuses 1 at a time, then reinstall, at the same time looking for the 12V light to go out. Hope this helps.

Van dies while in operation

That points to the battery.

Does it click or chatter when you turn the key to restart?

You have an apparent GROUND and POSITIVE 12v off the battery when the car IS running, but noyjhing when it dies. I love a mystery ;-)

If there is a loose connection at either terminal of the battery or the cables where they connect to the car frame, the connector lugs at the battery will arc and vaporize the metal at the weakest point of contact and all you will get is a click. Take off the battery connectors and clean the posts and insides of the connectors with sandpaper, then starting with the POS (Red +) side, push them on firmly, loosen the clamp bolts tap them several times around in a circle with a small hammer, block of wood or screwdriver handle so they seat all the way down, then tighten the bolts. If it wont go, remove the bolt, insert a flat-blade screwdriver in the **** and twist the screwdriver to expand a bit then tap some more. NOT HARD... just alot of little taps) Put the bolt back in and do the NEG (Black, -) the same way.

NOW it will start!

Battery and alternator

If your alt is putting out 12V you have a faulty alternator. A healthy alternator puts out 14v not 12v. The battery light doesn't indicate a bad battery, rather it indicates voltage is below 14v or 13v, depending on the vehicle.

With the vehicle running use a voltmeter at the alt and test for output voltage, if it's any where close to 12v you have a faulty alt and will need to be replaced.

You could also have a corroded/faulty/loose battery cable/s going from the alt to the starter/battery/alt.
