I drove with my parking brake on and after a few hundred feet, something snapped. The rear of the car now rides very bumpy

You may have popped the park brake cable out of the backing plate causing brake parts to become loose. Have the brakes looked at soon.

Why would my truck stop on its own, it sounded like a tire popped and then skidded to a stop?

Likely the parking brake shoes fell off the backing. Remove rear rotors to check.

How do you open up door to acess power window switch 2007 mazda 3

Places to look for screws (general guide, not model specific):

1) within the door opener latch. Pop out any plastic backing plates.
2) Beneath arm rest area. Pop out the arm rest if possible and inspect. Some screws may be located under a thin rubberized matting which sits in the arm rest/ door grab handle recess.
3) Within the window switch cluster. The window switch cluster can be popped out on many models, without the need to remove the door panel.

I haven't removed a Mazda 3 door panel before, but I have removed a Ford Focus panel (Based on the same model) and the panel pretty much just all popped off.

The trick to removing panels is to pop off whatever you can, and then feel for where any tight bits may be, then look at that location carefully for screws or other types of retaining clips.

Ran over something, now there is a loud vibration

something might be pinching the brake line. Backing over a stump, unless you were backing at 30mph, wouldn't bend much. The control arm and lateral arm are thin and bendable. They hold your wheel straight. cheapest to replace also, hope thats it.

Need to get a "backing

I need the same thing for a 2004 Explorer Sportrac. I can't find the "backing plate" either. Only the glass. No junkyard will sell me only the plate and glass. I did find a complete mirror assembly (housing, gasket, glass) for $37.89. This includes shipping. I got it from partsgeek.com. It just arrived today and looks to be perfect. I have not installed it yet. Hope this helps you out.

What is a backing pedal on a 2001 Saturn L200

The rear brake shoes etc., are mounted to the backing plate. If it's rusted or damaged, it will need to be replaced in order for the brakes to work properly & safely.
