SOURCE: My Peugeot 406 radio is losing signal intermittently.

Mine did the same .. Peugeot garage quoted £300+ & 6 weeks to replace it (ha ha)

I pulled it out, got a 'facial panel' from Halfords (about £20) and a cheap radio from Agros ...

Only problem is the 'stalk controls' (on the steering wheel) no longer work == Halfords make radios that are 'compatible' with 'industry standard' stalk controls but you will have to get them to fit it since the connectors aren't too standard and you will want Halfords to sort it out ...

SOURCE: 2007 peugeot 207 fuse box buzzing sound

Electricity buzzes when it hits high resistance. If it is making things turn on, there is most likley a short, or a bad relay causing a short. Look for damaged or tampered with wiring. Hope rats didn't chew through something....it happens.

My car is a Peugeot 308 HDI. When I start the car the following warning comes Eco drive deactivated How do I reactive the Eco drive and is it safe to drive whilst deactivated

Eco Drive is the automatic stop/start system that some refer to a a mini-hybrid.

I know little about them but I believe the facility can be switched off and therefore can be switched on. I don't know how but the answer might be found in the vehicle handbook or at your local Peugeot dealer.

It will certainly be safe to drive - the facility automatically stops working if the battery charge level drops below a certain value. Whenever the battery is disconnected/removed/replaced the on-board computer must be reset with dedicated diagnostic equipment for the system to work correctly, I hear.

Peugeot 107, turns over but will not fire up, sounds for a couple of seconds like it will start, but doesnt, can anyone help ?

2 things. The cold start relay isn't operating, hence it tries but won't run. Or the there is a timing problem which needs investigating. Crank sensor etc. I trust its fully serviced?

Picasso hissing sound 107 ta on dashboard

It could be that your blower fan is wobbling and hitting the sides or top of it's housing. Some debris may have got lodged in between the fan blades. Can be confirmed by switching off the blower and see if the sound goes away.

My peugeot 107 urban 2tronic is making a continued beeping noise when accelorating. When i ease off the accelorator tho it stops. It also over revs and is quite sluggish. 1t is a 2008 model.

Hi, I am sorry to say this but I had exactly the same problem which got worse with time. I took it to a peugeot garage and apparantly it is a common problem with these cars at 40,000 miles. The gearbox and clutch had to be replaced leaving me with a massive bill of 2,400 for repairs. Good luck with yours and thank you peugeot for what will be a very lean xmas.

1999.5 Jetta 2.0 GLS manual trans. was having a random loud buzzing/clicking noise coming from the instrument panel. The buzz/click has now turned into a loud, constant buzz.

Hi, this is a very common problem and its not only your make peugeot's have the exact same problem, its a tiny little fan that just sits behind the dash and all it does is gently circulate the air round the inside of the dash to keep everything cool and stop and heat building uo

i know its very very annoying but the only option is to take the whole dash out just to get to a fan thats about the size of a milk bottle cap and its just not worth doing, i know its annoying but you will be even more annoyed when you cant put your dash back together,

my mom has got a peugeot with the exact same noise it sounds like their is a fly trapped behind the dash well thats what my mom though anyway she kept banging the dash and spraying fly spray everywhere then when i got in the car she asked me if i could hear the fly and asked how long they live for cuz its been their for ages it was only when i told her it was a little fan she realised that maybe its not a trapped fly.

its up to you rip the dash out and bust the fan but its a big job just to stop a tiny little fan i know its very annoying but their is no easy fix sorry.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Peugot 306 indicator noise and wfront electric windows

hey kempster_rob the problem is in the wiring between the doors and the body, the wiring is short and is constructed wrong, so when you after 3000 openings and closings the wires brakes and either loose connection or makes shortcuts between the different cables causing fuse blows and disrupted working electrical system. Solution is to open the isolation around the cables and either repair them or displace them, its possible to buy a repair kit at the peugeot dealer
