98 Stratus - Access to vent temperature cable and vent door/flapper ?

Sorry but the system doesn't use cables, it is all motorized and this is a common issue on all older cars. You will need to remove the dash assembly and check the temperature control door (also known as the "blend door). In all cases the door must be checked for freedom of movement, the blend door binding destroys the tiny DC stepper motor that moves the door and in may cases the shaft snaps off. See picture of blend door motor below. dc2433d7-cbf5-43b9-b143-769d332ec8b0.jpg

Fuel tank flapper valve broke

THe flapper valve will be part of the filler housing and it will require the replacing of that end of the filler tube. Possible get a 2nd hand one fromk the wreckers THe flapper will be on the bottom of the tank and I cannot see any connection to the engine light which would have come on immediately if there was a connection. Run fault codes to determine which sensor./ servo put the light on

Saab 9000 cs 1996. after replacing the thermostat an flushing the radiator the ACC still wont give heat.

You didn't say if it's blowing any air at all.First check that the thermostat is of the correct temp. and is installed correctly. If you are getting cold air and not losing any coolant the your flapper valve is either stuck or broken. You'll need to simply remove the aquarium cover and look to the left rear of the blower motor. You will see the plastic flapper arm which is connected to a wirewound hook.If the hook is off the flapper just reattach it.If the tip of the arm is broken you can push the arm towards the rear of the car and wedge it in place with anything that will hold it.Doing this will give you heat until you replace the flapper valve arm.The arm can be fixed without removing the blower motor.Don't be ripped off by letting some mechanics tell you that they have to remove the blower to fix the arm. They will charge several hundred dollars and take hours to do so.

How hard is it to change the flaper that lets the heat come in the vents. the shop said the flapper is stuck. the blower blows but it will not heat. heater coil is good. how hard is it to take dash out.

Check the flapper actuating mechanism is working ok. The flapper vane may be seized up due to water/corrosion etc.
If it is lever / cable actuated, the mechanism may be seized up due dirt/rust/corrosion.
Application of WD40 (or similar) may free up the jambed lever/cable mechanism or flapper vane.

If vacuum activated, check vacuum servo and connections for air leaks etc.
Hopefully the above checks/lubrication can be performed without removing major dash components.

2003 ford explorer hvac flapper is stuck on the cold side. Is this a broken flapper or a vacuum problem? Is there a way to tell?

it has an electric motor to move it, sometimes with key turned forward so that dash lights come on you unplug it and it resets itself, but if not motor might be bad i have replace some that snapped the flapper because they failed to stop when at the end of cycle remove motor and inspect flapper shaft.

Toilet keeps running. Replaced the flapper, improved the condition, but toilet keeps running slightly. Is there somewhere I can make an adjustment to the stack deal?

It's possible there's too much tension on the chain which won't allow the flapper to completely seal and let the tank fill. If this is not the case, the float may be stuck. If the float is sticking you're better off replacting it. If the tank is filling and water is overflowing into the tube, then it's the float.

2000 pontiac montana air conditioner driver side vent blow warm air yet passenger side and rear vents blow cold air. sometimes the driver side vent blow cold air. is flapper valve stuck sometimes?

That is correct, the air blend door actuator. "flapper valve" may need to be replaced or cleaned and free from binding up. Good luck and hope this helps. If there is an Auto Zone in your area, they can order the part you need and give you the step by step instructions to removing the old actuator and replacing it if it's damaged. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
