INERTIA SWITCH for a 2003 Chevy Impala

Chevy doesn't have a inertia switch . If the engine dies after a wreck the fuel pump shuts off because the PCM doesn't see a crankshaft position sensor signal . The engine has to be running or cranking . GM Fuel Pump Relay Testing YouTube

03 chevy impala how to fix pocode 1635 is this the computer are what is it

DTC P1635
The powertrain control module (PCM) provides 5 volts to the following sensors:
?€¢
The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor

?€¢
The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve

?€¢
The fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor

?€¢
The throttle position (TP) sensor

These 5-volt reference circuits are independent of each other outside the PCM, but are bussed together inside the PCM. Therefore a circuit condition on one sensor 5-volt reference circuit may affect the other sensor 5-volt reference circuits. The PCM monitors the voltage on the 5-volt reference circuit. If the PCM detects that the voltage is out of tolerance, DTC P1635 sets.
Diagnostic Aids
?€¢
If any sensor using a 5-volt bias voltage, such as the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor or fuel sensor, is shorted to voltage, DTC P1639 may set in addition to DTC P1635.

?€¢
For an intermittent condition, refer to Intermittent Conditions .

On an ac system how do i check the high & low preasure switches and what do these switches operate and what is the purpose of them?

If your 2003 Impala had a low pressure switch it would shut off the compressor if the low side pressure got to low. This would indicate that there is not enough refrigerant in the system an therefore not enough oil flow through the compressor so the compressor is shut down.

The high pressure switch, if your impala had one, would turn on the fan once the a/c pressure on the high side reached a certain pressure.

Switches are just that, they are either on or off. A low pressure is normally on and a high pressure is normally off (this can vary greatly depending on the car).

Your impala uses a pressure sensor. The sensor reports actual pressure data to the PCM which combines info from other sensor to determine what should be turned on and when.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions let me know and I'll see if I can answer them for you.

My chevrolet impala 2003 has been accelerating randomly lately even parked, i already changed he TPS (twice) and a mechanic told me the voltage in the tps is higher that should be (30 %) but he does not ...

TPS would never cause your engine speed to increase. It only sends a signal to the PCM indicating throttle (open) percentage.

Intake/vacuum leaks can cause engine speed issues.

Your throttle body may also be sticking open. This would also explain your high throttle open percentage.

I have to replace thermostat and the PCM

Thats WAYYYYYYY too much money!!!!! I changed the PCM and thermostat on my Impala myself for about $125. Even if you had someone install it for you it shouldn't be much more than 2 hours labor. I'm not sure what car you own but the PCM shouldn't run that much.
