Question about Cars & Trucks

Your question: "My 07 dodge ram 2500 will not start nor turn over. When I turn the key the panel just goes blank. I have checked the alternator the batteries and the starter. It shows I have good power. But on the dash it doesn't always show that I'm in park even though the lever is all the way up. What could it be?

SOURCE: wont start

There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

SOURCE: 1996 dodge ram 2500 van alternator not charging battery

do a continuity test from the large red wire on your alt to the battery, could be a fusible link or broken wire, sometimes a wire will break within the sheathing so it won't be visible by eye, check all conections for corrosion and either clean or repair

SOURCE: Starting problem in a '97 dodge ram diesel

Could be the solenoid on the starter. Next time it doesn't start, hit the starter with a hammer or other hard object, then try to start it. If it starts, replace the starter before it leaves you stranded

SOURCE: Dodge Ram 2500 does not start by turning the key.

Relearn the fob,,,turn the key on,leave it ten minutes, then turn it off,and right back on,do this three times, then try and start the vehicle.

My power locks do not work until I turn on the ignition of the truck (2004 Dodge Ram 2500). Also, I can't get power to my radio (even after turning on ignition).

I would be checking all the fuse at the panel. Turn the key off and check the ones that are supposed to on(like the door locks). Also they should have B+ power(12 volts or so). When panels go bad Voltage can be anywhere from 0 to 7 or 8 volts. Then turn the key on and check. All the fuses should have power, except the exterior lights. On bad panels you'll see low voltage on some fuses. and with key off, you'll see voltage on fuses that supposed to be off.

07, Dodge 2500 6.7 won't start all of a sudden. there is just a clicking noise when you turn the key. Got a starter and batteries for it. Still the same.

You need to make sure your getting gas to start with. Check all your fuses. Make sure your fuel pumps is kicking on. If your not getting gas to the engine, it won't start.

My 1994 dodge ram 2500 diesel will not turn off with the key.

Check the fuel shut off solenoid on the drivers side of the engine. That's not the proper name but right now it escapes me. See if it has power and is shutting when the key is cycled, but the engine not started.

Dodge Ram 2500 gasoline V8. I ran it bone dry and

You will have to turn the ignition key on and off, several times. The fuel pump should cut in for a couple of seconds, and then out again, and you should be able to hear it doing this. If you can't hear it, you will have to check fuses and relays, and hope the pump hasn't burnt out.
