SOURCE: my engine shuts off while im driving

Check ecm for number 1228253. If it has this one in it you will have a cutting off problem. Gm replaced these with #16198264 The cam sensor magnet on the cam gear will deteriorate and give problems. This will require removal of the timing cover.

SOURCE: 2001 chevrolet tracker engine cranks but won't start

You have wet ignition components. Get an air hose and blow dry everything you can get to. You may even have to let it sit to dry out.

when you changed the engine did you check the engine number to your engine number think its the first 5 digits have to be the same. failing that you may need to change the crank and cam sensor over from the other damaged engine to your one you have fitted. also how you did not swap the ecu when you did the engine as this will not work properly with your car as codes will be different so immobiliser will not allow the engine to be started.

Try checking the computer. Some of them were located behind the glove box. If you can open it, look at the computer chips. If one is burnt you will see it.

Newly overhaul isuzu 4ja1 but oil comes out from positive crankcase ventilation

im having the same experience with my isuzu rodeo 1990 4ja1. i overhauled it last december, spent almost 1500dollars on the overhaul kit and again 300 for paying the guy. The engine was running very good and brand new for 2 days only when i suddenly noticed a big drop in engine power while driving. There's oil coming out of the head breather tube and pushing it into the intake manifold. And now much worse oil coming out of my dipstick and my front and rear crank seal also. Can someone please tell me what the problem and best solution is because my car has not even driven for a year with the new overhaul kit and im having the same problems again. This issue is really driving me crazy.

Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as non-genuine replacement are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. Check for faulty cam/crank position sensor/s

Mine was doing that also.. We changed the two EGR valves, changed spark plugs and wires, and finally cleaned the Mass Air flow Sensor with carburetor cleaner. That seemed to helped the most. You have to take the sensor off to do it.. you can find a youtube video that explains it. Now all I have to do is figure out why my car's RPM's surge when slowing down.

First you need to turn the engine over by hand (Socket on the crank pulley) until the arrow points to the zero. (Top dead center) Now keep in mind that while turning it clockwise facing the engine, you remove the number one spark plug, (Drivers side front) and just before you are at zero, you should feel air pressure with your finger in the spark plug hole.
If you dont, rotate the crank one more time. (This happens every other turn of the crank.)
Now remove the cap, and your rotor should be pointing at the number one spot for the plug wire.

Car turns over but won't crank. spark plugs are

Turning over and cranking are often the same thing, so Im not sure what your asking... Do you mean the car turns over but wont fire, or start? If thats the case and as you say the plugs are getting spark, then your problem is gonna be the fuel pump 99% of the time... Try this little trick, have a friend hit the fuel tank from under the car with a NON metalic hammer (ie a rubber or wooden mallet or chunk of solid wood etc) while your trying to start the engine. If the car fires up, then dont risk doing that trick again as it probably wont work twice, and get it to your mechanic to get a new fuel pump installed. If it doesnt work, (it really is a 50/50 thing) then get it towed and have the fuel pump changed as its still probably the problem...
