Question about 2000 Chevrolet Impala

1 Answer

Head lights work in the day but not at night

Thought it was a fuse but was told its not the fuse or the lights would not come on at all. Was told it could be the headlight switch or the multi-function switch. Just don't understand why they only come on in the day!

SOURCE: 2004 chevy impala no headlights

there's a button on the right side of the steering wheel that says serv push that button. It's put right there for when they use them as police cars you can cut the headlights off. You will probably notice that dash lights are on.

SOURCE: keeps blowing fuse in fuse block ,burnt block and

The positive wire in the headlight circuit is shorted to ground someplace, you have to check the wire by following it from where it connects to the headlight back to the switch and then to the fuse block

SOURCE: 1993 s10, headlights not working,

That noise is the circuit relay , once a new circuit relay is one there you can feel for a connection that has grounded out, circuir relay will make head lamps go on and off, for a S-10 you head lamp socket is to blame

I have a 2002 Rendezvous and I have a question about the head up display. It works fine during the day, but just as the evening or early night begins to fall, it is no longer displayed. How can I make it...

IF you have an automatic head light module (Day night operation) check that the power when in the night mode is getting to the display. It may have it's own light sensor that turns on the display light and if so it may be faulty as well.

My 2000 Toyota Corolla headlights will not turn on during the night, and stay on during the day

Your Corolla has daytime running lights (DRLs). A photocell determines whether it is day or night. Your DRLs turn on automatically in daytime without you operating the light control ("headlight") switch. Your DRLs are actually your headlights on low beam. At night, the photocell senses it is dark and disables the DRLs. When you set the light control ("headlight") switch to HEAD, the head relay closes and the headlights should turn on. Since they don't, I suggest opening the engine room junction block and checking the 40A MAIN fuse and the 10A LEFT HEAD (UPPER) and RIGHT HEAD (UPPER) fuses. In engine room relay block 5, check the 10A LH-LWR HEAD and RH-LWR HEAD fuses. Replace any blown fuses and the headlights should be working normally again

Having some problems with electrical. head lights are flashing on and off all night long. and passenger head light is out. thought it might be the bulb but have seen it come back on

If you have an alarm installed try removing the in line fuse from the power line to the alarm. This is a common error when an after market alarm has faulted out.

Its reversial for me my high beams wont work what

Good day:
the following is what you can do to test to see whats going on
turn on the headlights, put in high position
2.leave light in high, disconnect the head light dimmer switch, connect a fused jumper between head light relay supply voltage circuit of the dimmer switch and the control circuit of the head light relay. if the high beams come on then replace the dimmer switch, if the high beams don,t come on then.
3.use a fused jumper across the battery positive voltage supply circuit and the switched high beam voltage supply circuit. if the high beam come on now replace the head light relay, if the high beams don't come on then you will have to replace the LH I/P fuse block. I would most likely say that it's the relay just because of the year. I gave you a lot here I hope this helps

Cheers

Regular head lights do not work but high beam works

most likely it is indeed a fuse problem...they will be located under the steering column.
