Yes there is. It is on the underside of the water pump and will leak water when the water pump seal has failed. Then it is time to replace the pump as repair is more expensive than replace

Water pump leaks out weep hole in water pump when plugged in otherwise doesn't leak! Does this mean water pump seal is out?

Yes. Water pump seal is leaking. The weep hole keeps the water from getting to the bearing in the water pump.

My water coolant is dripping from a small hole situated near the water pump , what is the problem pls

What you are describing is the beginning of water pump failure. That little hole is called the weep hole and if coolant comes out that means the pump is failing.

Make sure its full of water or coolant and look at your water pump. There is a weep hole on it.Weep hole= really small hole on top side your water pump.If there is water coming out that hole and im sure there is your water pump pump needs to be replaced. If this is your problem no worry its really easy.Message me if you need instructions.

My car is leaking water from the bottom of water pump what could it be

There is a small hole (called a weep hole) on the underside of the water pump. Coolant will leak out of this hole when the water pump goes bad. Verify the leak and replace the water pump

There is water leaking from the water pump housing and it looks like a prefabed (manufactured) hole. What can I do to close that hole? This is a 1993 Toyota celica gt

the hole is there to let you know that the water pump is defective, you need a new water pump, normal this hole is filled with wax, when the pump over heats due to the bearings wearing out the wax melts,

On the side of the pump their is a hole where a plug or screw may

Almost all water pumps have a small hole in the body of the pump, it is there so you know when it is time to replace the pump. If water is coming out of the hole the water pump must be replaced. Also replace any timing belts while you have them off unless they are very new and have not been exposed to oil or anti freeze.

1997 Cevrolet Cavalier 2.4 liter engine leaks antifreeze

If it is the water pump it will have a rad hose attached to it. There is supposed to be a small hole in the bottom of the water pump. When it starts leaking, it's time to replace the pump. You can do it yourself. A few wrenches and a couple hours is all you need. If you are unsure pick up a Haynes manual for your car when you get the new pump.
