you need to cut out the bottom of the box where the motor sits and get an blower motor attachment kit from local gm dealer

SOURCE: the cluster for speedometer
My cluster did the same thing for a while. My circuit board on the cluster was crack, I had a local place take it out and sent it off to chevy and had it rebuilt. I haven't had a problem with it since.

Have the alternator checked,it should read,at the battery with the engine running,13.65 volts to 14.25 volts,with the headlights on,and the ac on high blower.

Check the resistor first. It may be bad. Should be under pass. side of the dash close to blower motor mounted in bottom of evap case. Remove it and try known good one first before going at the switch. If it works on high then the switch may be okay. Good luck.

get on youtube, and you will find the info that you need most of the time. you may need to remove the entire dash, to access this unit. so, be very sure what you are doing, before you tackle this job.
