Question about 2008 BMW 750i
I can lock my doors with the FOB but the car doesn't beep and the lights don't light up to let me know that the alarm is on and The red light that blinks on the rear view mirror doesn't come on any more

locking and unlocking with the key is to deactivate the alarm not activate it, the alarm is activated every time the car is locked with the remote automatically, u need do nothing else

The flashing light does not mean you have an alarm. They were not standard in the 3-series.
You can get one installed or if you want the dealer can program the lights to flash when locking and unlocking doors even with out alarm. This is called "acknowledgement without DWA"

try locking and unlocking the car with the key 3 times slowly ,other than that i have no idea ?? another trick is to disconnect battery and join the cables together for a few minutes to discharge any capacitors that may be holding a charge in the computer..Only other thing i can think of is the main dealers who have the right connectors and software to re set it all .sorry i havent been of any help
