SOURCE: replace rear seat belt in 1993 Toyota Corolla

OK. On the front edge of the seat bottom cushion, pull up hard, both sides. This will dislodge the 2 clamps that holds the seat cushion to the floor. Pull the seat cushion out & set it aside. You will now see the female latches bolted to the area where the rear of the seat cushion meets the rear seat back bottom. Remove the bolts (14 mm I think).

SOURCE: 2000 jeep cherokee 4wd hood latch system broken - how do I open

It can be a pain, even for a skill mechanic, BUT you have to get under and trip the leaver or sometime if the cable broke on the inside you can strip the cable shroud and use plyers to pull the cable

SOURCE: Toyota Corolla Hood is stuck

If it has been awhile since you have been under the hood, the cable may be rustd and not moving to open the latch. The latch iself may be stuck and you can try lightly tapping either side of the hood to pop it loose.

SOURCE: 99 toyota corrolla hood latch is broken. Can't

There is a rachet right below the hood that you can reach from radiator grill.
Take a long thin screw driver, reach it and turn that rachet.
You will hear the "click" sound and the hood will pop open.

have you lubricated the mechanism? They all need it. Go to a salvage yard and get a used latch assembly. Keep it lubed.

Hood latch is pulled open but hood is stuck closed how do I get the latch to release.

Have one person pull on the latch inside and the other person pull up on the hood (sometimes depending may have to use a thin screwdriver to pry up carefully not to chip the paint). Once open lube the hood latch under the hood with wd-40. Make sure the latch inside is still connected to the wire.

Can't get the hood to latch when closed on a 1995 Toyota

The latch may be closed already. Have someone pull the cable inside and move the latch by hand to the open position again.

Hood will not release

You need to remove the black plastic mud guard from under the bumper, use a 10 or 12 mm socket with extention to reach the hood latch from under the car, un bolt the latch and lift the hood up to repair. Hope this helps.

1992 Toyota Corolla hood wont open, Cable broke under hood.

first, try smacking the hood at one of the front corners while someone else pulls the release handle. or even after you've pulled on it. if that works, once open, adjust and lubricate the hood latch assembly. if it still won't open, and it's the cable and not the latch you'll have to replace it anyway, so instead of removing the grill, cut the cable behind the pull lever under the dash where you can reach it. then skin the outer cable insulation away from the actual steel cable exposing an inch or two of it. then holding the insulation and plastic housing with pliers, grab the steel cable itself with pliers and pull it to open the hood. then replace the cable. the further you can reach up under the panel the better your chances of getting past the broken part of the cable and avoid removing the grill. you might also be able to gain access from up under the car if you're lucky.

My hood is stuck

the release lever is just to the right of center.
you have to push the hood down slightly to release the pressure or it will not open.you need to make a hook out of a nail thick piece of wire to get under the latch and push it up at the same time you put some downward pressure on the hood.a bent screwdriver will work fine as a pry tool as well

Hood cable broken

I had a the same problem on my 1997 Toyota Corolla. Yours is a little different, but it should have the same basic idea to it. I had to remove the three bolts holding on the hood latch using a socket wrench. I had to remove the toyota emblem out of the front grill in order to be able to access them and loosen them. The hood latch is also attached to the grill by a seperate screw, and I just ended up breaking this piece off, which you can't see from the outside of the car anyway. Then you can easily lift up your hood, remove the latch, and reattach it to the car with the hood up and a new cable attached!

Hope this helps!
