SOURCE: DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM INSIDE OF NISSAN ALTIMA 2002 ON DRIVER'S SIDE

There is a cable that attaches to the inside door latch release handle. The plastic that retains this cable is most likely broken. I have seen this before. If the retainer is not holding the cable sheath correctly, the entire cable moves when the handle is pulled and does not release the door latch.

Remove the door panel and inspect this cable. You will see 2 cables (one is for the door lock). If the plastic is broken, you will need a new interior handle assembly.

Hope this is helpful!!

SOURCE: 54 Micra door panel removal

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door. It sounds like the linkage connecting the handle to the latch is not working (broken or slipped off)

Nissan micra central locking locks but makes a grinding sound on on side of the car.

Put your ear to the door and listen to where the grinding/buzzing noise is coming from when you lock the door, sometimes it maybe more than one door! The door it's coming from need a door actuator, common fault with the k12 micra's, which i'm guessing this is a k12 model!

My daughter has a 2008 Nissan Micra. The petrol flap release lever seems to have suddenly stopped working and we can't get in to fill the car with petrol. Any ideas please? We have looked in the boot but...

There is a cable going to the fuel door. You'll have to pull the carpet back along side of the fill cap. Tie a string to the cable long enough so that when you pull it out, you can attach the new one to it and pull it through! It probably run down the rocker panel or inside side panel! May require some investigating first...

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Crew Cab.
Your best bet is to take down the vin number and call the local dealer - they will be glad to tell you your cars setting from the factory. I mean you own car is traceable right to the day it was made.

These settings can vary quite a bit so be safe and ask the dealer. ALSO - while there - ask about any recalls or Service Bulletins for you VIN Number

Thanks and I hope this helps solve your problem.
If it does help please vote me up.
Thanks
