If you hooked the battery up backwards, you probably smoked a lot of stuff. Maybe you should consider taking your Blazer to a professional for an evaluation before you start trying to fix stuff.

Long story short, there is an electrical problem that partially stems from replacing the original sterio radio/CD player with an aftermarket unit. The original problem was the battery wouldn't hold a...

Your battery is suspected to be low in power But check if thegrounding of the battery is tight and the positive terminalis also tight. If not put your battery on charge.
I understand that you are takinga whole lot of trouble to do this routine of charging and connecting.I must advise you to disconnect the drain voltage circuit like the remotecontrol or the car system.connect them to a main switch and put it off in the night. If you cannot rectify the fault of these units. Now after the battery is charged crank and start the engine and measure the charging voltage.Check voltage of alternator to the rectifier regulator module. If charging is low this unit can be defective. If so replace.

Location of fuel filter 1995 Nissan Maxima

  1. This is if it is an internal filter, if it is not you still have to pull the whole bottom of the back seat out and look for the inspection plate.
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure by first removing the fuel pump fuse. Then, start the engine and allow it to run until it stalls. Crank the engine for 2 to 3 seconds to release the pressure Turn the ignition off.
  3. Step 2 Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the rear seat bottom and the inspection hole cover. Disconnect the electrical and quick connectors and remove the six screws. Remove the fuel level sensor unit and the fuel pump assembly. Then, take out the flange and snap fit portion of the fuel pump.
  4. Step 3 Remove the fuel tank temperature sensor harness, the fuel level sensor flange, and the fuel pump connector. Disconnect the quick connectors from the fuel level sensor, and remove the fuel level sensor from the chamber. Take out the fuel filter.
  5. Step 4 Put the new fuel filter in the chamber, followed by the fuel level sensor. Attach the quick connectors to the fuel sensor. Connect the fuel pump connector and put the fuel level sensor flange and fuel tank temperature sensor harness back.
  6. Step 5 Place the fuel pump assembly inside the tank. Replace the screws and electrical connectors. Reattach the quick connectors. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  7. Step 6 Start your car and check for leaks, and make repairs if necessary. When repairs are complete, replace the inspection hole cover and the rear seat bottom.

Car won't start

You need to Trace the Negative and Positive Battery cables all the way back to the other ends. Possibly just replace them both Just too be careful. This will short out the Cables very Rapidly.

Power drains while driving is it my battery ?

If you jumped the car already and it seemed fine while the cables were connected to the other car, then the electrical systems began to fail after the cables were disconnected, your most likely culprit is the alternator.

Once the car is started, all the electrical systems should be running off your alternator, not the battery itself. When the alternator goes out the electrical systems on most modern cars will continue to feed off the battery instead of the alternator. When this occurs you will see your battery light illuminate on the dashboard display for most vehicles.

Your best bet when you see the electrical systems failing like this is to get the car to a safe location quickly as once the battery voltage gets too low, the electrical systems (including your computer which controls timing and everything in your engine) will fail and the car will stop running.

If this is the case the car does not necessarily need to be towed. If you intend to move it on your own, you should 1 turn off all headlights, radios and everything else that is a drain on the electrical system (heat/ac, etc), jump the car using another with a good alternator and battery. Leave the cars connected and running for 15-20 minutes or so and have the person follow you DURING THE DAY only. Do not attempt this at night as your headlights will be a major drain on the battery and in the event they go out you could cause an accident.

If you are only running vital systems off the now fully charged battery, you should be able to get 5-10 miles before the battery clunks out on you again. This process can be repeated until you reach your repair center, but the safest and best option is to simply have the vehicle towed to it's destination. This option is only for those who can not afford it and are willing to take the risk. If you car dies in an area where it cannot be jumped easily, you will most likely need to have it towed anyway, but if your destination is within 10 miles or so, this option can save you a lot on the towing fees.
