SOURCE: driver side power seat front to back motor stuck forward

Take apart the drive box in front of seat track, on both sides with an allen wrench. You can then push the seat to get at the bolts to remove it. My trolley drive motor had bad brushes. I am now looking to replace the motor, if I can find the replacement.

Drivers window

does the motor make noise when pressing the window button? Your cable that brings the window up and down may have snapped. Open the door and take off the interior trip. See if there is a steel cable hanging around. Replace as need. Note it is better to buy the WHOLE assembly with the steel cable and the motor.

Subaru seat

Yes, you will need to unbolt the seat at all 4 corners and then un-plug the harness and remove. Once you have the seat out you can turn it over and see the power motors. determine which one controls the forward back movement and replace it.

Inside lights wont go off! help please

The door switch which is located on the inside of the door frame (both doors or all 4 drs) might be bad or stuck. Push the switch with your finger several times to see if it is working properly. Also on your switch for the lights might be turned all the way to the left (or right) If you turn the light switch it will make your dash lights briter or dimer but if you turn ot all the way to the left or right it will make the inside light stay on. Close your doors, sit in the drivers seat and turn the light switch(on the dash) to see if the light goes off. Don't turn the light switch hard if will kind of snap on or off, you can feel it when it does. Some time when your on a long trip a brite instrument reading gets to be annoying and people turn the dash lights down.

My electric driver seat wont go forward or backwards, just up and down

A lot of the time the connection to the drive motor is discooected due to some trash that get caught during moving the seat. Check to make sure the connection is solid.

If so use a volt meter to test if current is getting to the drive motor when the switch is pressed if not bad switch if yes bad motor

You might want to try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnecting it. This procedure fixed my seat that was not working. It works fine now. I know it sounds too good to be true but it usually works

Electric drivers seat will move forward, up and down, but will not move back.

One of two options: You have a bad seat position switch, or you have a bad seat motor. Use a digital multi-meter and backprobe to check for voltage at the motor when the seat switch is moved to the "reverse" position. If you have voltage, you have a bad motor. If you do NOT have voltage, replace the switch.

Power front seats

Before you start beating up thing's , test the electrical circuits. Do you know anything about automotive electrical systems ? How to use a volt meter an a wiring diagram to test for B+ power to the switch an testing the ground .
Does your envoy have memory seats ? Your vehicle has four or more electric motors to control back an foward , up an down etc.. the odds of more then one motor being bad at one time are highly unlikely .
Look under the seat any trash under there keeping it from moving ?
If you have memory seats there is a control module involved in making the seats work . If it has memory seats it could have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .
DTC B1735, B1740, B1745, B1750, B1755, B1760, B1815, or B1820
The seat adjuster switches are inputs to the driver and passenger seat modules. The seat modules supply the adjuster switch assemblies with a battery positive switch supply circuit and monitor the switch signal circuits. In an inactive state the switch signal circuits are floating and when a switch is pressed the signal circuit is closed to the switch power circuit within the adjuster switch assembly. When battery voltage is present on the switch signal circuit the seat module determines the switch status to be active.

Six way power driver seat bottom does not adjust up or down.

it can only be 2 things, either the switch is bad or the motor in the transmission is bad, both parts are a common failure so u must test each to determine which is at fault, do u have a 12 volt test light? if not get one, about $6 from any parts store like Kragen, Autozone and others, raise the seat as high as possible and disconnect the motor that is inop, (be careful not to break the connector locks) push the switch to operate that motor in one direction (up for this test), the test light should light, then move the test light to the other terminal of the connector and press the switch for down, again the test light should light, if the lights go on as described then the motor is the problem and if they don't the switch is the problem.
