I do not own a pacifica but I do know quite a bit about cars and the digital read out gets in info from the gas gauge. so if the gas gauge is incorrect so will be the read out. I would start at the sending unit for the fuel gauge I bet you will find your problem there. The sending unit is most likely located in the gas tank
Yes that's elapsed time from when you turned on the ignition. Press the black button underneath the display to change mode to outside temp or mpg or miles to empty......We've got the 05 Legacy 2.5i with the same function/display......
for some reason and I don't know why the sending unit is sticking in the gas tank the only thing I can recommend to try is to go to Walmart and get a bottle of STP gas treatment also read on the bottle to make sure this is the kind that has a lubricant in it for the fuel pump try this first before any major repairs are made because the button could also be sticking on the sensor to let you know how many miles to empty
