Question about 2007 Chevrolet Uplander
I am attempting to replace the oil pan on my 2007 Chevrolet Uplander. I have removed the starter, all 12 oil pan bolts, moved the oil cooler out of the way, removed 3 different brackets attached to the oil pan, and 2 bolts attaching a bracket on the underneath of the passenger side of the pan to a bracket. The oil pan does not budge and there is not enough clearance to try and get a putty knife at the seal. I have trid to pursuade it with a sledge but still not movement. Any recommendations on a bolt I might have missed or how to get this loose? Your help would greatly appreciated in helping me save a tow bill to the dealer and the high cost of having someone else fix ths. Thank you!
U really need a haynes manual from a part store--some models require engine to b lifted-dont force anything------library has mechanics books too----also dont go to a dealer-much bettr off at a private mech whos done this stuf bfore

Testimonial: "Hi Arnie, Thanks for your response. I took a look at a Haynes manual and it's much more complicated than I initially planned. Involves removing lower ball joints, hoisting the engine, removing the engine mounts and dropping the frame..... Not exactly what I was hoping for. More than I'm looking to accomplish in my garage. Off to a repair shop for me. Thanks again!"

I am not sure, But there could be six more bolts to remove. They will be on the side of the pan, about half way up. three on each side. Sorry for guessing, I work on to many makes and models. Also the gaskets do hold the pan on tight sometimes. If there are no extra bolts then carefully pry it off.
