Does it do it hot or cold , after driving the truck for awhile or sitting overnight ? Heat can cause resistance problems , electrically speaking . Have you checked to see if there is spark or fuel pressure when it won't start ? If you narrow it down to one or the other it makes it easier for diagnosing . No Start Diagnostic Basics EricTheCarGuy
starting problem ,takes 4-5 times turning over engine then blue smoke comes out of exhaust ,is very reliable when got started though - ive replaced battery/glowplugs-&-relay/ a recovery man says no power to glowplugs ? can you advise ?
As with any no start issue, you will need to figure out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel pressure problem to proceed. I would check those things the next time it will not start. Could be a relay, coil, sensor, or other component.
