Any ABS codes? Auto Zone will read them for free for you. There is a pump I think under frame drivers side that can be defective and will run all the time too.

1.Why is my break light indicator on dashboard on even when break is not engaged.Note,my break is active and fluid level is ok. 2. Why is my ABS light on and refused go off from dashboard.

Because you have a problem in the ABS system . With the light being on there is a DTC -diagnostic trouble code stored in the ABS control module . EBCM - electronic brake control module . The red brake light also will come on with ABS problem . If you are unfamiliar with this I suggest you take your vehicle to a ASE certified repair facility that is .

My ABS light stays on, Can the ABS system cause my rear wheels to heat up? (To hot to touch) 2003 ford explorer.

Remove the ABS fuse to disable the ABS system . The brakes will work as NORMAL brakes and you will now see if the rear brakes heat up. They more than likely will as the ABS would not have any effect on the brakes in normal running situations.
Suggest take the vehicle to a GOOD brake shop and get them to fix the problem

If the the abs module fails you still have breaks BUT if you need to apply the breaks to the floor the abs will not work which could allow you to go into a slide because of loss of traction. the abs system pumps the breaks to prevent your tires from locking up

My ABS light came on with out me useing the breaks is this normal?

No that is not normal. When the ABS light comes on and stays on you have a fault present in the ABS system and the ABS control module is alerting you to this problem. As long as the light is on the ABS brake system us disabled and you have in effect standard non ABS brakes. In order to find out what the fault is the ABS system must be tested by using a scanner, it will have a code in memory.

ABS problem with GMC 2002 Sierra

its a low speed abs activation the problem is in the front sensors they need to be cleaned or replaced they [or one] probably has some corrosion on the sensor --[the 99 chevy tahoes had a limited recall over this issue and the fix was to remove and clean the abs sensor or if to corroded replace ] this problem doesnt set off an abs code or trouble light also sometimes the abs will activate by itself at under 4 mph without even touching brake

ABS Pump "Chirping" Alarm?

EIther the ABS pump is bad and will have to be repaired by the dealer or specialy licensed ABS mechanic, or you can do what I do and pull the ABS fuse under hood and not use them.

Abs light on after working on front hub.

you can take it to a nearby aftermarket parts place, and they will likely do it for free. you can also "brain dead" the car, but i don't recommend it. to brain dead disconnect battery cables, touch them together and have a friend press the break pedal. it is supposed to dissipate the charge in all the capacitors, but i think its a risky maneuver in general.

a code shouldn't have set unless it was on during the repair or you forgot to plug it back in....

ABS break . light for ABS break dose off

Probably a failed ABS electronic module. These can often be rebuilt. Do a search for ABS module, Russia, IA. There is a company there that rebuilds the modules, and they have a good troubleshooting guide on their website.
