You can 'fish' a coat hanger through the door seal to press the unlock button on the armrest, or slide down along window into the door's body to attempt to manually work the locking mechanism... a slim-jim is helpful here but can be done w/ coat hanger. WARNING!: this may damage your paint or the door seal or both, or the window seal.... once in the main body of the car...trip the lever

Trunk won't open

Lower the back seat and crawl into the trunk and see what the latch is doing when you activate the key fob. the trunk lid will have to be open to enable any repairs. Also an emergency release cable is probably visible (yellow handle) inside the trunk and will Open the trunk lid.

Trunk won't open

The actuator may sound as though it is working but the latch could be damaged or misaligned. Also, the actuator could be too weak to operate the latch. If it is necessary to replace the actuator, your Camry is old enough to make a junkyard a likely source.

Inside trunk release won't open trunk on 2002 Camry. Lock will not turn with master key. Remote trunk opener will open trunk.

1. Open trunk
2. Place latch in lock position
3. Pull inside trunk release to see what isn't moving
4. If trunk key won't turn, the key may be worn out and need to be replaced

check the trunk latch on the lid,use a screwdiver to see if it locks when you insert the shaft of the screwdriver in the latch. if it doesn't lock check the inside trunk release could be stuck in the up position.or the latch is dry try to oil it with dry lube or wd 40
