Daewoo Leganza ....stutters/judders under acceleration

Daewoo Leganza 1998 automatic with 163,000.00km on clock......I use a very good mechanic/auto electrician who is stumped by my problem. The car stutters/judders under acceleration, especially under load (xtra pasenger, full fuel tank etc) and especially going up hill. It manifests itself intermittently with some days a lot worse than others. All the electrics & fuel pump have been checked & pressure tested but no closer to finding the problem. He thinks that it could possibly be a cracked head gasket but expensive finding out. Can u help us at all. Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Head gasket?

You remove air filter and other parts.
Then you remove head cover.
Then you unscrew and remove the head,
Clean a bit the block
Replace gasket.
Screw back the head
Follow head tourqe settings and screw orders on diagrams when mounting back the head.

The whole thing is not thst easy as it may seem, if you want to DIY you will need to buy the Haynes manual for your car. There you find a step by step procedure with pictures.

Here is a repair manual.

Also enquiry to Haynes.Haynes manuals are the best.

Here is how to replace head gasket on a Honda,
with lots of pics, procedure is the same, torque values and screwing order are different. It is not a job for absolute beginners

Do not forget to rate the solution

Thanks.

SOURCE: low fuel pressure 95 volvo 940 turbo

fuel pump check valve doesn't cause pressure loss, just hard starting cold, the check valve is part of the fuel pump, so to replace the valve u must replace the pump. do not use anything but the orig style pump, here is the part number from THE OE PUMP MAKER AT www.rockauto.com

SOURCE: 99 Toyota Corolla multiple misfire problem

This is what you need to do, change the plug wires, because if there is a bad wire you would definitely experiences sputter or a stutter, so do the plug wires and at the same time do the spark plugs, this should take care of your problem. if not let me know and i will give you the next step

Where near the Leavenworth, KS, I can find a Daewoo auto service and spare parts for Daewoo Leganza

....That kind of car is kind of new territory for me, but I am pretty sure Daewoo Auto manufacturing went under quite a while ago...I am sure parts are out there but I'm not so sure if they still make cars or parts at all. You might have to order over seas....But in the meantime, E Bay or other internet sites would be your best bet!

You might have a bad hydraulic valve lifter (assuming this engine has them)... you could try an aftermarket product designed to unstick valve lifters.... any auto parts store carries them.
