SOURCE: no ignition wont start

Are you getting fire but still no start? Check for fuel delvery. If no fuel delivery at the shrader valve. then check the fuel pump. If you don't hear the hum of the fuel pump when in the "on"position, replace it.Also make sure you have power at the constant 12v at the coil and distributor. If no power is present you may have a faulty ign. switch.

SOURCE: Help with ford cortina mk2 series one 1300 deluxe ignition wiring diagram

So what do you want to know ?? used to build them on the assembly line ,well the mk3 ,only three wires to worry about plus on some a a aux feed for the radio ,a ford radio that would pick up the pirate radio stations better than anything ,dont forget to check the seat stiching if original some of the girls missed a stich or two .Non crossflow engine carb over exhaust manifold so not so good as later models with crossflow engine. Now the guy who put the pistons in was polish and guy who fitted the oil pumps was from jamacia ,well on my shift anyway. The head bolts were all pulled down at once with a big air operated tool and pistons were fitted with a 2lb club hammer but hit the pistons with the wooden shaft ,built at 3 engines a minute line speed .What happy memorys

COMMON CAUSES FOR MIS FIRING ON 1996 ISUZU RODEO V6

You fried the coil drivers , If you have B+ voltage going into those coils an they are new coils ,there is no control ! You have three wires to each coil ,one is B+ voltage ,one goes to what the wiring diagram calls a coil driver an the other looks like a ground symbol an says common chamber. You should be able to test for control with a test light. Go on youtube an watch a few scanner Danner videos on testing electronic ignition systems .

Where is the distributor on a 2001 Cadillac deville?

Has no distributor - electronic ignition !
The electronic ignition system does not use the conventional distributor and coil. The ignition system consists of the following components/circuits:
?€¢
Eight ignition coils

?€¢
Eight ignition control (IC) circuits

?€¢
Two ignition control modules (one per cylinder bank)

?€¢
Camshaft position (CMP) sensor

?€¢
Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor A

?€¢
Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor B

?€¢
Related connecting wires

?€¢
Powertrain control module (PCM)

What powers the coil packs

In the early days of electronic ignition the single coil was powered by an amplifier module which also contained circuitry to switch off the ignition system if it was idle for more than a few seconds as well as varying the dwell angle depending on engine speed and this was triggered by a pulse from a hall effect transistor, an optical device or an inductor and reluctor in a distributor.

When electronic fuel injection came along it was found improvement to engine performance and economy could be made by allowing the fuel management to talk to the ignition management, which by that time was controlled by a programmed electronic control unit rather than the distributor and contained the all-important ignition amplifier.

When the distributor gave way to multiple coils and coil packs the amplifier and other circuitry, probably for reasons of cost saving, was integrated into the fuelling ECU to make a complete engine management package, so to answer your question, it is the ignition amplifier(s) that power the coil pack(s) but in practice they, in recent years, are an integral part of the main ECU.

I suggest you check the wiring and connections for continuity between the coils and the ECU before you start spending loads of cash. A wiring diagram showing ECU pin numbers will be needed.

Looking for a Wiring diagram for the ignition coil on a Cadillac fleetwood 1991

There is not much to a wiring diagram for the ignition coil on that vehicle. The coil connections are all made inside the distributor. One ignition feed wire and the rest is self-conained within the distributor housing.

Where can I get a firing order diagram for 1985 Isuzu

For the 1985 Isuzu Impulse:
I do not know if you have the 1.9L or 2.0L In-Line 4-Cylinder; however I have included both below. The big difference is with the Distributor Layout.

For the 1.9L In-Line 4-Cylinder:
Firing Order:
1-3-4-2
Cylinders:
...4...
...3...
...2...
...1...
.(fan)
Distributor SHAPED ROUND:
Rotation: Counterclockwise:
........(back)
...................(+)-screw
........4
....................3
2
................1
(+)-screw
.........(front)

For the 2.0L In-Line 4-Cylinder:
Firing Order:
1-3-4-2
Cylinders:
(back)
...4...
...3...
...2...
...1...
(front)
Distributor (Ignition Coil): RECTANGLE SHAPED:
(back)..
(4)..(3)
/////////
/////////
(2)//(1)
(front)

According to the obd code i am getting a misfire in the number one cyln and it kind of sputters what is causing it

1. Bad or fouled Spark Plug at #1 Cylinder.
2. Bad or misfiring Wire going from the #1 on the Distributor/Electronic Ignition Coil to the #1 Cylinder.
3. Misfiring at the #1 on the Distributor/Electronic Iginition Coil.

a. Unplug the #1 Wire at the #1 on the Distributor/Electronic Ignition Coil.
b. Using an Auto electrical testing: Probe, wire and ground clip electrical, stick the Probe into the opening at the #1 Distributor/Electronic Ignition Coil. Use the grounding clip - clipped to a portion on the engine.
c. Start the Vehicle and check for rhythmic spark.
d. If there is NOT rhythmic spark, the Distributor/Electronic Ignition Coil needs to be replaced.
e. Turn off the engine.
f. If there is rhythmic spark: Reconnect the #1 Wire at #1 on the Distrubutor/Electronic Igntion Coil.
g. Disconnect the #1 Wire from the #1 Spark Plug.
h. Again using an Auto electrical testing: Probe, wire and ground clip. Insert the Probe into the end of the #1 Wire and clip the ground clip onto the engine.
i. Start the engine again.
j. Again Check for rhythmic spark.
k. If there is NOT rhythmic spark the #1 Wire needs to be replaced. (Replace all Wires as a Set).
l. If there is rhythmic spark then the #1 Wire is fine.
m. Turn off the engine,
n. Remove and Inspect the #1 Spark Plug. Clean if necessary and Regap.
o. Reinstall the Spark Plug and reconnect the #1 Wire.
p. Restart the engine.
q, If the code reappears:
r. Replace all the Spark Plugs.
Let me know if this helped or if you have additional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.Com.

1990 Isuzu 2.6 L 5 spd. No start.. Fuel pressure is ok, not getting spark. Checked coil, ignition module, distributor, computer and coil wire. No power coming from the coil. Small voltage going into...

assuming you the coil, plugs, cap, rotor and wires are good. check the cam sensor, If you have 12 volts to the coil using a 12v light tester. The cam sensor responsible for sending info to the computer telling it that the cam is turning, then the computer tell the coil to dispurse the charge/sparks to the distributor as distributor distribute the sparks to each plugs from the rotor of the distributor. Replace the cam sensor, it tend to go bad over period of time.

I amcurrently searching for a diagram to wire up my RPM gage but I don't know where to put the wires!!!! I really need help!! thx:)

The RPM guage (tachometer) reads the spark impulses from ground terminal of the high voltage sending unit. I've never had to install a tach on an Accent, but for the most part the wire (on other model Hyundai's) is green and connects to the distributor primary or negative (-) side of the ignition coil. And then to the Tach terminal. Do not connect to coil on If yours is an MSD ignition, do NOT connect to the coil!!. Some electronic ignitions have a tach terminal on the ignition box, the green wire may connect there. Hpe this helps....
