SOURCE: 93 buick park ave Ultra. replacing water pump

Yes. Put a jack under the motor and remove 3 bolts from side of engine and the long center pivot bolt in mount and the 2 bolts that go top down into the frame and loosen the 2 bolts below mount. Jack up the motor until you can separate the mount, leaving the engine side in and removing the frame side. The engine side can be moved out of the way without completely removing.

You have to remove the tranny pan in order to drain it and to change your filter. Why no manufacturer has ever incorporated a drain plug for the tranny.....I'll never know! Here's a diagram to help you out.

SOURCE: does a 401 nailhead and

Yes. You can put the 401 with a dynoflow transmission in a 1955 century. I am not exactly sure as far as what you mean by prop shaft, and torque tube. But I would think that you are talking about the drive shaft from the transmission to the rear differential. And I think that you will have to get that cut down. I also know that the 401 is physically bigger. So you will have to modify the motor mount brackets. And possibly the front springs, because of weight. It should be a relatively easy swap though.

Need firing order and location of #1 cylinder. 1968 Buick GS400 Not a nailhead engine.

All Buick V-8's use the same firing order in 1968 and it is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. The odd pistons are on driver's side front to back and even on the passenger. The distributor turns clockwise and #1 is at 8 o'clock on the cap. Plugs are 44TS and gapped at .030. Points are gapped at .016 and the dwell angle is 30. Timing should be TDC. If you have A/C set your curb idle with the A/C switch in the "Full On' position and the car in Drive. Idle is 600RPM for automatic and 700 RPM for standard. Hope this helps.

Left and right are as seen from the drivers seat facing forwards. You sound American so you are actually sitting on the left hand side of the car, I drive from the right hand side, but on the other side of the road.

A small square box like 2X2 with wires running tword the passenger side. If you see the bundle of wires attached to the trunk hinge and follow the only set running to the driver side is it.
