Replaced part and need to hard reset the computer. taking the battery terminals off wont work, any suggestions besides the damn machine

to get them all pull battery neg lug for 15min
make sure radio license codes are learn first.
he radio manual (glove box) tells how.

The windows are controlled by an electronic module so you may need to get it connected to a scanner, but before you do that do this, it's called a hard reset and it will put all the computers and modules back to factory specifications. Disconnect the negative battery cable and hold it on the positive battery terminal for about a minute then reconnect and see what happens. You'll have to reset radio stations ect. I hope this helps. Make sure the battery is installed correctly in your remote, next disconnect the positive terminal on your vehicle for 10 minutes and let the computer reset itself. If this does not fix the issue I suggest taking it to a authorized dealer.

i would disconnect the battery. removing both the positive and negative battery terminals. with both ends disconnected, hold the two terminals together for about 10 seconds. this will proform a hard reset on most chrysler vehicles. also, if this doesnt work, try turning the key to the on position, and then proforming the hard reset procedure.

If its spinning over good but wont fire, the computer needs to be reset . It should start then you drive it around to let it reset itself. check the pcm fuse

Is this factory, or after market?

Eitherway, there should be a small box under the dash.

On this box (or mounted to the very bottom of dash) there will be a small button for resetting the alarm system.

If this does not work, take of the + terminal of the battery to remove all power to the car (make sure doors are unlocked and one is cracked open/not latched).

Let it set for about 30 seconds, then replace + terminal.

Try to start car. If car won't start, hit reset button again.

You have to Remove the Passenger Headlight to get to one side of it and remove the battery terminal and the batterytie down. then there is a section of the wheel well in front of the passenger tire, that has to be removed. I would suggest turning the steering wheel hard to the right and jack up the front of the car to give you self some room to work. once you remove the panel you should have access to battery terminal.

1. Remove the battery cover and disconnect the air cleaner that is beside it by popping it off.
2. Take off the cable ends from the battery terminals with a battery terminal puller. Take off the negative terminal first.
3. Slide the battery toward the wheel well and remove it from underneath the wheel well.
4. Use a wire brush to clean the surface that holds the battery. Clean the insides of the connector cables with a pointed wire brush. Keep your gloves on at all times to avoid getting acid on your hands.
5. Rinse off the cables and the battery tray or wipe them off with a damp cloth, and let them dry out.
6. Rinse off the cables and the battery tray or wipe them off with a damp cloth, and let them dry out.
7. Insert the new battery on the shelf, bringing it up through the wheel well. Pop the air cleaner back into place.
8. Place the correct cable on each terminal and tighten securely with pliers or a socket wrench. Replace the battery holder and cover.

take the positive cable off the battery for 10 minutes. then replace it to reset it. if this does not work then take it to ford they have a reset machine.

Check your terminal connections, if they are loose they will need to be inspected for breaks. If they are broken you will need to replace the connection. Make sure they are clean and free of corrosion.

Other possible Problems
If the car wont turn over your starter could be bad.
If it turns over but wont start it could be any number of these problems.
