Re starting

Yes. Most likely a Relay is sticking. When power is interrupted or contact points cool down, the stuck contact points release. What most people do not consider is that Relays not only switch "ON" connections, but also shut "OFF" others. If a Relay is stuck "ON" after shutting off the car, it may not allow connection of another circuit that it has terminated.

There is also a Diode in a Relay Trio. If you have fuel pressure, it would not be the fuelpump Relay sticking. There are other Relays like the ECM in the trio.

The Horn relay can be switched with similar Relays for testing.

3.8litre ,electric fan continues to run killing battery.doesn't happen all the time.

It is most likely the fan relay is sticking and allowing the fan to run on, the relay is plugged into the fuse/relay box on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

Fuel pump relay location

I have a 2004 kia optima 4cyl. found fule pump relay under the radio.
1)remove the crome square frame surrounding stick shift
2) pop out the cup-holder frame that goes around the stick shift
3) you will see 2 crews in front of stick shift. remove both
4) pop out frame that goes around radio (disconnect harness connector on side of this frame.
5) relay is a square looking box on right side below radio (approx 2"x2") has 2 screws to hold it in place.

Electric fuel pump stills runs when car is turned off

Find the fuel pump relay which might be under the drivers side seat its possible its sticking. Also check the fuel pump reset switch should be located in your trunk sometimes these stick open. Its one of the two and I think its the fuel pump relay. Check both.

1992 cadillac deville - hvac blower motor does not shut off.

replace the relay , when a relay sticks like that , a good test is to slap it with something like the handle of a screw driver , see if it un-sticks , its not a fix , just a test . cheers'

My 2003 honda odyssey's headlight is not working but the high beam works. help pls

I have a similar problem with a 2002 oddyssey. All fuses intact. Was able to switch both relays as relays running other working systems in car were same. No change in problem. Changed bulbs. no change in problem. Found that if I fidgeted with the control stick I could get the DRL's on. I suggest changing the headlight control stick.
