Cant turn the key
Its probably a worn key try another key or its emergancy key if you still have it or the ignition barell is worn its not that expensive about 30 pound or so to replace but a bit of a chew to get old one out

Yes when you replaced the batteries in the FOB this will have cleared the system identification for the keys.
So have these reset to your vehicle and then you will have no problems.
