Think its time to remove the head and renew the gasket ,also remove the valves and renew the seals and gring them in a bit ,maybe even renew the valve springs ,or buy a newer vehicle as its nearly 20 yrs old

Low fuel pressure can cause this or a clogged filter, has the fuel pressure been checked? Has the fuel filter ever been changed?

I have a 94 toyota pickup 22re ran great untill about two days ago now its way under powered and running rough. changed the plugs wires and ignition coil and still running like ****. what else should i do

First things I'd try: 1) did you get some bad gas? there's a drain plug on the tank, you might let a little out and check for water. Has the fuel filter ever been replaced? (not a fun project). 2) pull the fuse for the fuel injection system and let it sit a while before you put it back. The computer will start from scratch again and perhaps correct something that created the problem.

1986 toyota truck 4x4, 4cyl, 22RE (fuel injection) I have replaced all the hoses, tested everything that can be tested, replaced fuel pump, timing belt, O2 sensor, a few sensors, dist. cap, rotor button,...

The igniter interprets signals of time and position from the distributor, fits the efi ecu with information and then the ecu gets back to igniter to tell it when to fire specific cylinder, we used to have problems with the distributors and also igniters.

Car stalls but starts back up

It had a new cap and rotar and plug wires put on from the people I bought the car from .People told me it started having this problem after they installed the new parts they bought at Autozone so I went and purchased the factory wires ,and dist.cap from a reputable parts store and replaced them and bingo ,no more problem. When buying ignition parts do not go cheap and buy from Autozone.
