SOURCE: My central locking will not work the key will only

Best guess and best solution - have it diagnosed by a qualified technician. This way you'll find out exactly what's wrong and what's required to fix it (parts, labor, etc.). You may have to pay the diag fee, but you'll also find out what's causing the problem and maybe decide to fix it yourself.

SOURCE: Yellow Engine Light Comes on and car is very

If the light was flashing when it came on, then it means your engine is misfiring.

A solid light can mean anything from a loose/faulty gas cap to a transmission issue.

This light comes on when the computer detects a fault of some sort in its diagnostic tests. If it keeps detecting this issue, the light will remain on. If the light turns off, then it has detected that the issue may no longer be present.

In order to find out what the exact reason was for your light, You need to have your car computer scanned to retrieve the code that the computer would have stored when the light triggered. Most garages will do this free of charge. The code will tell you what may have caused the light to initially turn on.

SOURCE: rear demister light comes on but demister doesnt

Using a test light, connect clip to one of the leads of the grid and probe the other. If it lights, the grid is open. If it doesn't, there is a power or ground open going to the grid. If it doesn't, clip to a good ground and check each wire at the grid. If the light lights, the ground circuit is open. If it doesn't, the power circuit is open. If power is open, check appropriate fuses, etc.

Rear defogger not working fuse is ok but switch does not light up on a 1993 caprice

Check operation of the control relay for the rear defogger.
Check all wiring/cable connections on the demister circuit for integrity.
(The demister draws a heavy current, which can cause fatigue/overheating of spade type connections).

The Compartment/Boot Lights BMW 318i 1992 model is not working

Hi Robert,
Boot/trunk light could be down to the switch, have you looked for the pressure switch similar to the door ones that operate your interior light.
Rear demister? I run a E34 5 series and the switch is located above the Air con buttons by heater controls, when pressed yellow light illuminates.
Good Luck!
