When i turn my headlights on, only the running lights go on, not my headlights. Headlight bulbs were recently replaced. brights work when i flash them, but they wont stay on when i push multi switch forward

I had the same problem. The solution is simple; the ignition switch needs to be replaced. This is an easy do-it-yourself project. Here are instructions:

Check for a switch on ebay, they are about $15. After 10 years they wear out.

check your fuses, something is blowing out your bulbs or causing a lack of electrical support, and cant support all your lights working at once...let me know how it goes

I would check your headlight relay switch that is located in your steering colum

This is a problewm I have been researching. On the 91 Loyale there are two headlight relays. The relay for the left headlight also controls the instrument lights and the running lights. If the right relay is working and the left is not, the left headlight will be dim because of a back electrical path through the high beam indicator light on the dash, but the instrument and running lights will be out. I have been trying to find out where Subaru put these relays, but three Subaru service departments have been no help. One dealer's service department told me to remove the large bezel around the instrument panel. I did and the relays weren't there. Lots of luck.

If you have daytime running lights but when you turn on your regular headlight on they do not come on. Take the bottom of your steering column off (Two Small Screws) and look at the back of your turn/dimmer switch make sure that the light blue wire is connected. The wires will break off after years of raising and lowering your steering column.
