you said the starter looks new, if so check to make sure the starter bolts are tight on both sides if the starter gets cocked sideways it will put a bind on the starter. Also take your vehicle to Autozone they will check the battery for free....If it is a everstart take it back to wall mart it will have a 3 to 5 yr. warenty on this battery.
Does it only do it with the a/c on or does it do it with it off and in gear. If it does it with the air off and in gear the the problem is possibly in the tranny. If it only does it with the air on the possibly another pully in a bind causing the rattle possibly water pump.
i had that same problem and found massive power loss.... turns out my catylatic converter was plugged, i put a flowmaster muffler and a magnaflow high flow universal cat on it and now it hauls *** so hard i did blow my transmission in the mud-pit... also this is NOT a good mud-pit vehicle.
