I need to get the radio serial/model number etc so that I can attempt to get the unlock code for my radio (Clio 05) - where do i find all of this info!?

If you have the original handbook for the car you might find the code in there. If not you may have to take you vehicle details to a dealership. This option might cost you.
The radio can be removed more easily than you think. I'm assuming by Clio 4 you refer to the current 'new' model. Have a look at the web link below. It might help. Renault Clio 2012 Head Unit Removal Guide
Go online, search "Renault radio codes" check out several sites for the best price. Enter all the required info in the boxes, see if they hold the number in their database, pay your money and unlock away.
The VIN is nothing to do with the unlock radio code; you will need visit your dealer and ask about this, according with the serial radio code number. Hope helps.
There
should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or RN or PH or similar
(often found stamped in the metal casing ) and maybe a Security Number in the format of
TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING
