My 2004 Tacoma has 84k miles and due for warranty service. Automatic, 4WD, V6. The expected normal cost for this service (and major items). Vehicle runs great and is well maintained to date. Questions: Does this vehicle have a timing belt or chain and is the engine what is called an 'interference-type' which means if the belt/chain breaks when under load serious engine damage can result? Thank you for commenting.

2005 Grand Caravan has no heat at all - has digital A/C and Heat controls. Engine temp comes up on the gauge so it's not a stuck thermostat

I have a 1996 pontiac grand prix I am having problems with it over heating,so I have done the normal things, I had the thermostat replaced twice I replaced the water pump and all of the coolant and bleed out all of the aAir in the system. It still over heats and not normally. It will get really hot then cool way off and then heat to about 3/4 of the gauge and then climb slowly into the red where it will stay for 5mi or so and then open and repeat the whole process. I have no coolant in the oil but it does appear to have a few drops of oil in the over flow tank. Also when driving down the highway i have noticed that if its about to go into the red I can shift from D to 3rd (auto trans) and it will jump the rpms to about 3000 but it seems to make the thermostat open because the temp goes down. Also I know this is not a faulty temp sensor because when it climbs the temp gauge I have no heat like the thermostat is closed. Please any solution would be great. Oh and a side note my wifes buick century has the same motor and has none of these problems, but it also has not helped me by seeing a working cooling system
