Fuel line replacement for 1997 saab 900

Found a cut in a fuel line, next to the catalytic converter, soaks the converter when car is running. Need to replace fuel line, can find one end at motor, but the other disappears going up the side of the gas tank. Where does this end of the line connect to the tank ? Can I get at it without dropping the tank ? Is there a diagram I can see ? Thanks

SOURCE: rough idle on 1990 saab 900 convertible, 16V

Because the car has adaptive technology, it may take a while to reset and adjust to the new, cleaner and better conditions than those to which it had previously adapted.

Did you change the cap and rotor? if the plugs needed replacement, likely they do too

Possible other causes include:

loose or corroded connections to any electrical component you disturbed (make a checklist and tick them all off as you check them);

mis-reinstallation of any F.I. part disturbed(checklist again)

obstructed water flow through the AIC valve;

improper voltage output from the AIC valve (for LH 2.4 systems, should output 8 volt at idle, dropping as load increases; for LH 2.4.2 system output 7 volt at idle etc; testing between terminals)33 and 17 at disconnected LH connector;

possible problem with MAF.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: 94 saab v6 serp belt replacement. does motor mount

Yes, the motor mount must come off to replace the serpentine belt on the 3.0 6 cylinder motors. Not as daunting a task as it may seem, just requires a jack and block of wood under the oil pan to support the motor.

Here the fix the saab convertable has the famous failed ground wire of the convertable top, the line the ground in the converatable itself and yes it fails, here is what you do behind the driver side is the convertable module you must identify the ground (I think it brown but very not sure), ground the convertable control ground wire and you will be functioning in no time dont bother to repair the ground in the top just the control top module and attach it to a good ground where it is mounted

97 saab 900 s 2.3l non turbo automatic has became hard to start, starter sounds great and at full power, batery new alternator great, what is the problem? It takes 3-9 times before it will start. Sometimes...

Since it does eventually start and run, hard starting is usually a fuel delivery problem (pressure regulator, fuel filter, fuel pump, kinked fuel line). First check the fuel pressure after turning the key on but not starting the car.

Just need to know how to change fuel filter on 97 saab

Fuel filter is located on the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel. Pretty standard fittings, you will need a set of line wrenches. Make sure you pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the car over to relieve the line pressure before you crack the lines open.

SAAB 900 s 1997

you should check your fuel pressure and be sure it is within spec, is this a 2.0T or a 2.3 non turbo and also this is fuel injected correct? same as the U.S.A. 97 saab 900s? if it is a 2.0 with direct ignition try changing out the DI cassette with a friend or junkyard unit to see if that solves it -Jeff also please rate

Fuel pump "mount" inside gas tank of Saab 900SE V6

To replace the fuel pump from above, without dropping the tank, you must cut your own access hole. Here is a complete illustrated tutorial for the procedure, including replacement of the pump insert itself.
