While driving and pressing on the gas, the vehicle (1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee)just dies. No rev, no acceleration--you can press the gas to the floor and it does nothing.

TRY CHECKING THE WIRE CONNECTORS ON THE PCM WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FIREWALL. IT HAS THREE LARGE MULTI-WIRE CONNECTORS HELD IN PLACE BY THREE BOLTS. WIGGLE THE CONNECTORS WHILE TIGHTENING THE BOLTS CAREFULLY SO AS NOT TO BREAK THE FRAGILE PLASTIC ENDS. HOPE THIS SOLVES THE PROBLEM. KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

My 1966 Jeep grand cherokee starts and ideals fine when I press on gas paddle and then left off of it it dies

two possible problems come to mind,,,
1.) idle air control valve (IAC) is restricted
2.) throttle position sensor is out of adjustment

to test the IAC, find a vacuum hose smaller than the size of a golf tee anywhere near the throttle body and unplug it....then start the vehicle. if the vehicle idles then replace theIAC

if this doesn't help see a technician that can diagnose the concern further and look at things like fuel trims, MAF values and BARO

Runs rough on acceleration and surges when removing foot from accelerator. Also, has poor gas mileage. The vehicle is a 1998 Grand Cherokee with 5.2, automatic with four wheel drive.

This sounds like one of two things. Depending heavily on your vehicles milage, you could need a new EGR valve or a new timing chain/belt. Thank you, Dana

1999 jeep grand cherokee losing oil pressure

This is not necessarily an issue, but normal physics. I suggest remove your transducer and test with an external, known good, gauge.... Be sure the vehicle is at normal operating temprature....that will give the lowest pressure reading, as compared to cold engine.

MY 2005 JEEP CHEROKEE LAREDO JUST STOPED DRIVING

If engine sounds okay, (when you accelerate, it revs up, etc.) then could be a transmission problem. (assume this is an automatic?)

Check fluid level first, if okay, next suggestion would be to change fluid & filter.

When you select a gear, do you get anything, any slight jolt to the vehicle?

If nothing at all, also might check the transmission lever linkage.

Is this 4WD or 2WD? If 4WD, also need to check transfer case setting, make sure it is properly set.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Died while driving home

check the fuel pump fuse/relay, could be just bad enough to cause an intermittent start/no start. and check fuel pressure, spark and the crank position sensor.

1999 Jeep cherokee will start i can drive for about 20 min

Replace, or have the fuel filter replaced. Replace the air filter as well. If it still does it, have the fusable link(s) checked, as if the connection(s) is not secure, it will cause the vehicle to start sometimes, or die while driving. Also have a diagnostics done at your local mechanic, or a local automotive store (usually a free service; stores may vary)
