no information generic answer have vehicle scanned ---check brake fluid level / condition --brakes --abs sensors--hubs

Do all brake lights stay on including high mount? If all stay on suspect problem with brake switch located at brake pedal. If just lower brake lights stay on ( not including high mount ) expect problem with multifunction switch ( signal switch )

be sure that brake pedal is all the way up even if you have to pull it up or thers a wire shorted

The warning light on the dash, or the brake lights in the back of the car ? ?
The brake fluid could be low or the parking brake switch could be faulty if the warning light is on.
The brake light switch on the pedal could be faulty if the brake lights are staying on.

I had this same problem. I turned off my car and the brake lights stayed on. I looked under the dash and found that the brake pedal, when not pressed, barely touched the brake light switch, which controls whether the brake lights are on or off. Initially though I just wedge a thin piece of adhesive foam between the pedal and switch, which worked fine for several months until I found the time to properly fix it. My brake light switch was adjustable so i eventually adjusted the nuts on each side of the brake switch holding it to the pedal bracket so that the brake pedal pushed in the white brake light switch when released. If all the brake lights stay on then the brake light switch is the first thing to check. It cod also be dagger wiring to the switch or it may just be loose and/or out of place.

Your brake light is out.
Check brake lights and repl. burnt light bulb .

pull the breck release and kick it at the same time same thing i had to do hey it worked for me

Check your brake switch as it could be faulty hence causing a close circuit which in turn causes the brake light to stay on.It is normally located at the top of the brake pedal.Hope this helps.

If brake lights remain on then inspect brake light switch. Brake light switch is located on top of brake pedal arm bracket. It is either out of adjustment or faulty.
