The fan sensor is located on the right side of the head near the thermostat housing. Make sure your fan is working before you purchase sensor.

SOURCE: 2001 saturn sc2 gets code 341&340 camshaft sensor

if you have high resistance in secondary ign. system (plug wires, ign.coil) this will cause this code to set. make sure you are using a high quality spark plug wire set. not from autozone!!! and denso non platinum tipped spark plugs. also use a diaelectric grease on plug wires to keep moisture out.

SOURCE: Code: P0133 - O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1

is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?
if a 4 cylinder it will only have 2 o2 sensors
V6 will have 4 o2 senors which the sensor will be the right side of the engine first sensor.
1st sensor on exhaust, I recommend if you change one change all, as this will make the computer when it rechecks the system you have all clean/fast responding sensors.

if you have a slow response it means the sensor is dirty and not reading well, which is usually caused by minor misfires that the engine computer dismisses, so a tune up would be recommended too.

SOURCE: locating camshaft positioning sensor on 2000 Daewoo Laganza

hi,
it is under the upper timing belt cover between the camshaft gears. According to the manual touching anything related to timing belt requires removing million parts including right front wheel. I suspect this might be an overkill just to remove upper timing belt cover.

So my advice would be to get it done by some mechanic as u will not be able to do it and may damage other parts also.

Thanks!
Sandy

2001 Saturn sl fan not working wiring not relaying voltage. Temp sensor new, fan works if hot wired. But don't want to use this way because still a problem. New temp sensor new relay, and radiator, still...

The line is continuity... it completes the ground signal back to the pcm. Then the fan is turned on. Problem most likely, connector needs replaces going to sensor... common problem. Be watchful when placing new connector on once you have spliced the new one on, since there is only one way that it fits in and might cause damage if forced in the wrong way.

Fan will not come on 1993 saturn sl where would

On the side of the block, transmission side, but make sure that the fan is able to work...just unplug the connector and with the key in on position, use a small jumper wire and jump the connector that you have unplugged and if the sensor is the problem, the fan will start running at this point. If it doesn't want to run, you will need to unplug the fan and ground the side that is for ground, where the black wire comes into the connector, then use a jumper wire from the positive side of the battery and jump the other side of the connector to the fan...make sure you don't touch the + - side together while doing this since it is hard on the PCM, but if the fan doesn't start when jumping, replace the fan.

I have a 2001 saturn automatic that just started jerking in secound and sometime third gear when it heats up runs pretty good when engine is cold. the transmission fluid is fine but it seems like the fan...

Issue 1.) The wonderful thing about Saturns is they were build with a spin on type Transmission filter. Its located under the battery tray on the drivers side. Replacing it and putting new fluid in is a great way to help remove some of the sludge that builds up in the tranny valve body and causes it to stick.
Issue 2.) Your cooling system is a delicately balanced critter. The fan is electric and has a sensor on the radiator to detect high temps. Your AC bypasses the circuit and will run the fan as you've discovered. Replacing the sensor, and getting the Coolant system flushed, while installing a new radiator cap is a start. The original factory coolant left a buildup in the system on mine and led to a complete blockage of my heater core. If your car's issues are left unserviced you will probably warp the cylinder head.

Driving lights flickering

the car needs a body control module. if you try to replace it yourself the car will not run, it needs to be programed by the dealer.
