It could be located near the water jacket at the intake manifold or possibly close to the water pump. Also it may be a separate housing where the return hose from the radiator meets the engine block.

SOURCE: car feels like it's misfiring or stutters

Turning off the CEL does not cure any problem, you have a ignition miss, U will have to have it put on a diagnostic machine to determine the cause of the miss.

the O2 sensor for bank one sensor one is located between the catalytic converter and the engine in the exhaust head pipe. see photo of your engine cylinder layout, the sensor u want to replace is the one at the cylinder #1 0aa2e73.gif bank on right.

SOURCE: Check engine light is on

no such thing as a catalytic computer... there is a catalytic converter ... part of the exhaust system so they may now be "guessing" that it's an O2 sensor. take the car to autozone... they will scan the codes for free.... post the codes here tho the lads and lasses there are pretty clever and will probably tell you what the codes mean.

Take it back to the shop for more repair. There are one or two sensors for the water temperature. One operates the dash gauge and the other operates the electric cooling fan. They could be improperly installed or connected.
If the shop replaced the cooling fan, and if it is good, then it may not be activating properly. Some of the fans have a relay on the fan shroud, some have a relay in the Powerbox for the Radiator fan. If the Relay was bad, then that may have caused the whole problem in the first place.

You can get a diagram of the wires and powerbox by registering your car at Autozone.com for FREE. But you usually get 3000 miles or 30 days minimum on a repair. 90 days is more common because most parts will have at least 90 days of Warranty.

Fully overheats after 5 minutes of driving? water is leaking somewhere also

Check your therma stat, it is located at the end of the radiator hose on the engine under the piece the hose attaches to. While running check the hose to see if its hard(under pressure) if so the thermastat is stuck. its only 3 bolts and a hose clamp you have to remove to get to the thermastat. Purchase a new one with a gasket a sealer. then replace it.

My 1992 lexus es 300 overheats after i get off the freeway. the temp gauge sits in the normal position until i get off the freeway. i run the heat on hot and at full blast regardless of the temp outside...

Sounds like you could be low on coolant, even more so because the air starts to cool down, check coolant level with engine cold, never open a radiator when hot.

FUEL GAGE DOES NOT GO UP ALL THE WAY

HI, this is a malfunctioning sending unit that is located inside he fuel tank. this sending unit, transfers a Resistance signal to the gauge, in return, allowing you to see how much fuel is in the tank. if this mechanism becomes corroded or, damaged, this will cause the symptoms you are experiencing.

This damage is usually caused by fuel deposits left behind overtime. the modern day fuel we use can destroy sending units because of all the detergents and, nitrogen cleaning agents put in the fuel at the refinery. this is goo for cleaning out the rails and fuel injectors but, it usually can hurt the sending unit mech at the same time.

The fuel gauge sending unit is attached to the fuel pump Assembly. you will have to remove this assembly from the tank to replace it. the tank has to be lowered as well.

when the engine is at normal running temp, feel the water hose on the bottom of the radiator.if it is hot then ur thermostat is fine, and its more likely to be a head gasket or airlock problem
