ignition module when it stalls take a can of compressed air (for computers) and spray the ignition module at bottom of coils, if car starts the module is bad, that test worked for me, the canned air is like spraying freon with the chemical in it
You've got to do the obvious things, look at your spark plug wires, if you see what looks like chalky residue they are arcing replace them and your plugs. Check all vacume lines for leaks, and make sure your air filter is clean
i dont know i am having a similar problem with my 91 olds cutlass calais its a 2.5 l 4 cyl and i can drive it and it only happens a couple times a week but the RPM gauge goes crazy and the car stalls out it starts right back up but when i put it back into either reverse or drive the rpm does same thing and car stalls ive had it to 5 mechanics they cant figure it out...im hoping to get help on here
torque convertor not unlocking u can unplug the wiring 4 the torque convertor on the transmission u can drive it fine after u unplug it or spend $1000 to have it replaced ur call
i had that problem. the car would backfire and shut off. it turned out that one of the valves wouldnt close all the way, and it would backfire through the head. i dont know a lot about cars, but this was my problem. replaced one of the valves and it was fine.
