2 things to look at is the directional switch and or brake light switch on the brake pedel. my 1999 monte had the same thing and I replaced thedirectional switch and it was fixed
I had the same exact problem on mine, I have a 1999 monte carlo, I fixed mine, what the problem was, is on the drivers side right by the battery, there is a fuse box that has the fuses and relays for ABS and parking lights, that box gets VERY corroded from being so close to the battery, so I took all the fuses out and cleaned it with electronics cleaner and put them all back in, and now everything works, I hope that helps!
For the blinkers you need to replace the hazard switch.This will take care of your problem.For the blower,if this is what you mean by heater won`t shut off.You need to replace the blower motor resistor.This will fix your blower not shutting off.The light for the knob you will have to remove the control panel and replace the bulb if it is replacable.Some of these models you have to replace the control panel to get the lights to work.I hope this helps Heidi and let me know if you need anymore help.Good luck.
did you check the tailight bulbs?
I heard a rumour that if your tail lights go out it will diable your dash lights has a warning to driver.
let me know..
it's in the circuit relay in the drivers master control pannel switch inorder to opperate these windows you actually have to short the power to ground inorder to move the windows up or down you need to repair/ replace the switch,
I had beat myself to death with that problem ,spent all winter taking my door apart to open and repair the door when the window kept coming out of it's tracks,Nice cars but boy never owned a chev that had as many problems as this one everytime you think you have it fixed another problem sneaks up and kicks you in the ***,good luck bud..
You described exactly what my 2003 monte carlo i just bought with no warranty is doing! so did you get it fixed yet? if so , let me know how you did id appreciate it...
First check the bulbs, If the bulbs are o.k. It might be the dimmer switch. I think on a 2000 monte the dimmer switch is built into the multi-function switch.
