SOURCE: The heater / ac blower

It is the blower resister. I purchasted one at auto zone for $18.00. It is located under the passenger side dash. You need to remove the glove box and the plastic cover under the dash to expose the blower motor. the blower motor resister is right next to the motor. Simply unplug the resister remove the two screws and replace. I did this and now my fan works on all speeds.

Have your belt checked for wear, if it is ok- just tighten it. Should take only a few minutes but if you over tighten it this could put a strain on the generator and water pump causing the bearings in one or the other to fail.

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Sentra Problem overheating and heater doesn't work.

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago. The repair shop first changed the thermostat. Didn't fix the problem. Next step, they found the radiator was clogged. They replaced the radiator and now everything works fine.

Just replaced the blower motor and resistor on 09 nissan sentra. Air came on for a minute making loud noises then blow a fuse and quit working.

You mention loud noises after installing the blower motor, I would check to see if the loud noises came from the fan not being properly installed or loose, possibly something interfering with the rotation. If you find that you probably can replace the fuse and reinstall everything as it should be.

You could just plug the blower motor in without installing it to test it. If it doesn't blow the fuse again, fix the obstruction/alignment and you should be good.

Turning the heat on makes lot of noise

If the blower motor is noisy, the bearing may be getting bad inside the blower. This will require replacement of the blower motor unit. In some cases, foreign objects can fall into the motor casing assembly also making a noise. The motor will need to be removed for inspection

I have a 2009 nissan sentra. when you turn on the heat it makes loud noises like a tank. took it in and they stated that leaves had gotten into the heater motor and that was not covered on warranty as it...

unfortunatelly i have seen this several times, where mice get inside of the heater assemblies and duck work and blower motor. it does happen more with cars that are in garages. in your case/nissan sentra, you have to remove dash board assembly to access blower motor. that is a poor design on nissan part. the fact that you have a mouse or chipmunk in there is not nissan defect. we had people actually call their insurance company to get it covered/repaired and they do it. i have seen whole chipmunk families inside the blower motor cage, with little ones still alive. good luck.
