Please be more precise. There are LOTS of places coolant can come from in the top of an engine. Is it coming from a hose? Is it coming from a part of the engine itself? What does that part look like? Help us help you.

SOURCE: can't find the spout to pour transmission fluid into Ford Taurus

You need a funnel to add trans fluid to the dipstick tube where u check the trans fluid level. Let me know if u need more help, Add fluid w/ engine running, shift car thru all gears to circulate fluid. Don't overfill, it's bad for the trans.

SOURCE: 05 Ford Explorer Transmission

on the bottom of the transmission pan you will find a nut with a hex or torx in the middle you remove the center plug when the truck is hot and running on a level serface the trans fluod will dribble out if it does not dribble out it is low if it runs out fast a steedy streem it is over full now their is a part that screws into this for a fill if you remove the pan you will see how it works the pan has a pipe/ stack that when full of fluid the top of the pipe is at the full point if you remove the large nut the stack and plug will come out the best way to change the trans fluid is take it to some place that has a fluid exchange equment this will get all the fluid out including the torque converter

Why does the transmision go clunk when you move it from park to revers in my 2004 4.6 ford explorer

What I found when my F250 would go Klunk, I found out that it was low on trans fluid. After allowing it to warm up, I checked it and sure enough, it needed fluid.

After adding, no more Klunk.

Also, when I was helping a buddy change out his clutch, by accident, about a cup full of tranny gear lube, poured out onto the floor.

Not thinking that it was a big deal, we installed clutch and trans and tightened everything up. Only problem was...now it would not shift into any gear.

After messing with the linkage, I remembered the cup of fluid that poured out. There was a cap on the top of trans, so we added about a cup full of gear oil.

Wah Lah! Everything was working normally again.

Check your fluids ... hopefully it is a easy fix for you.

What are the chances that transmission fluid could get into your oil on a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Not that good although it could happen
You would need a leak inside the radatior between the oil colling system for the transmission and a leaking intake manifold gasket that is letting collant leak into the engine that has trany fluid nixed with it .Of coruse you would see oil floating on top of the antifreeze if you removed the radiator cap or the fluid res
. Also look at the engine oil for white foem this also means collant is getting into the engine oil white smoke out the exhaust sure sign you have a leak someware .

My trans fluid poured out

Determine where the fluid is coming from. Start with checking the transmission lines going to the front of the vehicle. There should be 2 that connect to a transmission cooler or to the radiator, typically on the passenger side. If one of these started leaking it may have sprayed transmission fluid onto your engine, causing the smoke.

I have a 2007 ford explorer that when i hit the brake hard to stop, my truck is like out of gear and then suddenly goes into gear jerking. this also happens just at a regular stop sometimes. what is...

Sounds to be low on trans fluid, I think 2007 has to be filled from underneath on lift, the trans has a small plug,(Torx head)that has to have fluid" pushed"up through until it pours back out,I would check to see if any wet spots around cooler lines(small hoses that go to radiator.

How do you change the transmission fluid in a 2007 ford explorer? I've already drained it, can't take it to a dealer now.

if you drained it then you need to look in your owner's manual for the right amount of fluid that your transmission takes then put fluid through the transmission fluid dipstick. If you got any question plz feel free. Good luck

95 ford explorer over fuels when trying to start the engine when it is warm

Try this. Pour 1/2 cup auto trans fluid into the fuel tank. This will lube the fuel system from the inside. May need to do this twice. Think not!

How many quarts of transmission fluid are required for a fluid change (30K mile service)?

If you are dropping the pan, it should hold 4-5 qts. Make sure you install the correct trans fluid. The way to check the fluid is leaving it running and removing the t30 screw from the pan. If fluid pours out there is enough . If it trickles or has nothing it needs to be topped off.
