Resetting my oil life on an HHR

How do you reset oil service light Honda Pilot. From years: 2003, 2004, 2005.

1. Turn off the engine. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
2. Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
3. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Resetting the Engine Oil Life Display if maintenance service is done by someone other than your dealer, reset the maintenance minder as
follows:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
2. Press the select/reset knob repeatedly until the engine oil life is displayed.
3. Press the select/reset knob for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will blink.
4. Press the select/reset knob for another 5 seconds. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.

2008-2010 Sable

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press and release SETUP to display "OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW".
3. Press and hold RESET for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Turn Ignition to RUN
Press "Information" and "Reset" buttons at the same time on the DIC to enter personalization menu.
Press " Information" button to scroll through avalable options.
until DIC desplay shows OIL-LIFE RESET
Press and hold "RESET" button ubtill DIC display shows " ACKNOWLEDGED"
This will tell you that the oil life has been reset.
turn key to " LOCK"

1. Turn Ignition to Run, with engine OFF
2. Press info and reset buttons at same time to get to personalization menu
3. After that; press info button to scroll through menu until you see OIL LIFE RESET
4. Press and Hold reset button until shows ACKNOWLEDGED
5. turn the key to lock
There is apparently another way also, where you turn on the ignition without starting, and pump the gas pedal three times with 7 sec or something like that.

you need to reset it by the steering controls hit both menu and enter buttons at the same time and it will promp you to hold enter to reset. If that does not work then pump the gas pedle 3 time within 5 seconds after turning on the key.

Remove battery heads and replace after 5 minutes.

Try this: turn the key to the RUN position (don't start it), press the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. The oil life light should flash twice, indicating that it's been reset.

If you have steering wheel controls, you can navigate to where it says Oil Life and then hold the arrow down, that should also reset the oil life.

I had this problem with my 2007 HHR. I drove away with the service engine and the service traction light on. The car was stuttering through the gears. I took it back and they checked it. They disconnect some wires while they change the oil and one was loose. The service engine turned off but the service traction stayed on. We disconnected the battery for 3 minutes and it fixed the problem. Some of those other guys spent up to 300 dollars to fix the problem. Hope it works out for you.

then press and hold the reset button for about 2 sec it should then display oil life set to 100%
