Has the fuel filter been chg. lately. If it has, maybe a fuel pressure test is in order. Fuel pump might be geeting weak and does not show up until it gets warmed up. Fuel pumps are a common problem on this type of cars.

I have a 2001 buick lesabre with 130k miles and while driving all the instrument lights on the dash came on then went off and the car died. The car had to sit approximately 20 minutes to start up

Any DTC'S stored in the vehicle modules ? Will the engine spin after dies ? If so what's missing spark , fuel ? After it dies and it starting again after 20 min. makes me think Ignition control module .

Other times my car will stall, sputter, **** while driving and seems to not be getting gas. Even going 70 down the highway it will stall. When it stalls while driving the dash lights come on.This happens...

check for corrosion on the sparkplug wires, both ends. Crankshaft position sensor, cam position sensor and lastly, gulp, the ignition control module..

Find the EGR valve on the intake and locate the vacuum hose that is connected to it. Start the engine cold and as it warms up, pull the hose off and if it idles and drives fine, the EGR valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Please rate me on this answer.

How to reset the oil life monitor

1994-99 BUICK LESABRE
CHANGE OIL SOON Light
1. CHANGE OIL SOON light will come on when engine oil has broken down enough to require changing. After changing oil, reset oil life display.
2. To reset light, turn ignition on. Open glove box to access oil reset button. Press and hold oil reset button in glove box for at least 5 seconds, but not longer
than 60 seconds. The CHANGE OIL SOON light will flash 4 times to indicate light has been reset.

1995 buick lasabre while driving engine dies with no sputtering or lagging. replaced vaccum hoses and fuel filter. will start after 5-10 minutes sometimes check engine light comes on stalls and then starts...

Suspect either the camshaft or crankshaft sensor is failing with engine heat. If you could get the check engine light to stay on, a scanner would likely reveal the problem. If you could hook up the scanner and drive with it on, it might reveal the problem at the moment of failure.

1995 buick lesabre custom. has a new fuel

even if you have preasure in the line that does not mean you have fuel going into the engine. you should check the injectors to see if they are spraying and if not you need to check the injector pulse to find out if the PCM is sending the signal to them to spray. to check injector pulse you will need a noide light to test the pulse it the light lights up you have pulse, but easy way to check is pull an injector and turn the engine over see if it sprays.
