Yes, there are calipers in the rear brake system. You also have brake lines, rotors, and possible drums if not all 4 wheel disc.

I think you mean the rear calipers, this is the part where the brake pads are squeezed together

If it were me, I'd first look in the glove box to see if there were an owner's manual to tell me how.
If none, and there was no Nissan dealer to call and ask, I 'd keep an eye out for another car like this at a shopping center or at a church and ask those people how they get theirs to work.

How would I install an upper suspension arm to

nissan primera in the US is called an Infiniti G20. the grinding or knocking if its coming from the front, is gonna be the tension rod bushings are warn out. get new tension rods for real cheap. thats all i can help with, suspension is my thing, motor is not.

I could recommend a product I use on my own cars called SeaFoam. You can buy it at most autoparts stores like PepBoys and what it does is clean out alot of the carbon buildup, which improves gas milage and gets the engine running like new. Just follow the instructions on the back.
