Ok That is what I thought. Fuse number 15 in the under dash fuse box will be blown when you check it. This is caused by a shorted wire up under the intake manifold. HERE is some information on this and how to fix the problem. Once this is repaired your speedometer should work properly again. You may need to have the fault codes cleared after the repairs or just ignore the check engine light until it resets on its own which may take awhile. Good luck
