It means that you must have the engine control module (known as the PCM) scanned for fault codes, this light can be turned on by literally hundreds of different faults.

fairly common after service fuel pipes to the filter take in air causing low fuel preasure fixing the leak won't put the fault on the dash away it will run fine but needs computer reset

Ok I would have it fixed before inspection, or other damage is don't to other components.

Hi Carol ! Check your Catalytic converter. Might blogged. If so you surely using too much fuel and not enough power. If is that surely must immediately renew the cat.

Well its a 2009 and as such its all electronic control and it can only be diagnosed using the dealer software via the internet this is to stop people like myself from doing anything to it ,from the sound of it i would suspect the throttle position sensor under the dash on the end of the throttle pedal as this fault i have had before on more than one occasion even more so with my favourite )not( make of vehicle a renault but in all honesty you are in the hands of the dealers here as they are the only ones with access to the software via the internet with the factory ,Sorry i cannot give you a nice fixya easy type fix

check the codes but it is likely somthing to do with the charcoal filter

Will be related to engine management in some way, it will need to be checked out by a specialist, might need the particulate filter regenerating££££
