Try using synthetic oil and super unleaded gas form a good brand station to see of it goes away, if not try to adjust valve lash it is easy on this car get a book for a part store it list the complete details

i wold check the knock sensor on the motor to make sure it hooked up, or bring it to your local parts store and have the check the codes

Code P0401 indicates insufficient EGR flow. It's quite common on this model. The solution involves removing the upper intake manifold and cleaning the EGR passage.
