Whenever you try to reset your vehicle's computer after any
repairs, disconnect the battery negative pole first and positive pole last. Wait 20 mins and reconnect your negative pole first and then the positive.
You may have to drive your car for at least 10 miles or more to see if it worked.

SOURCE: 2001 ford e-250 4.2 engine engine idle surges

Listen before you spend the money try a simple thing first. At our shop we start with the EGR solenoid, locate it, remove it, make sure that the ports are clear. Carbon build can cause your symptoms

SOURCE: 1994 Ford E350 transmission seems like it slips at 45-55 MPH.

If you went 1k miles since that same issue occurred I would look at the transmission. A faulty torque converter, clogged fuel filter, or a clogged CAT can cause a delay in the shifting but it would happen right away not 1k miles later.

a cheap fix to your problem. insert a screw in the flap panel located in the rear left side panel of your van. its rite next to the blower motor. unloose a few screws push the flap up them insert the screw... works great but when winter rolls around u have to remove the screw to gain back your heat

Take it to AutoZone for a free diagnostic scan. Your local Ford dealer will charge you $100+ for the same scan.

It sounds like the idle control valve and/or the mass air flow sensor. The scan will accurately pinpoint the problem.

2007 ford e350 van, reverse lights wont work

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced
