hi normally the front fogs will only operate when thehead lights are also on dipped beam same for rear fogs too the reason being if conditions req fogs ie mist/fog/poor visibility ? then you also need head lights ? hence to stop fogs being used uneccesarily where conditions are good ie posing with blinding front fogs on as some drivers do so put h/lights on then fogs will operate but go off when h/lights turned off hope this helps ?hi normally the front fogs will only operate when thehead lights are also on dipped beam same for rear fogs too the reason being if conditions req fogs ie mist/fog/poor visibility ? then you also need head lights ? hence to stop fogs being used uneccesarily where conditions are good ie posing with blinding front fogs on as some drivers do so put h/lights on then fogs will operate but go off when h/lights turned off hope this helps ?

yes somewhere is a dodgy earth on the back light cluster ,either one side or both ,renew the earth and oil the bulbs with engine oil to prevent corrosion ,also make sure the correct bulbs are in the holders look on bottom of bulb and inside the holder ,be surprised how many bar room mecahnics their are and the more they drink the more they know ---
Try this, make sure both bulbs are the same. Then try replacing both bulbs. Also go to fuse box usually in vehicle under glove box or steering column and change fuse for those lights.
hiya put your headlights on and ignition then rear foglight/s they should now operate rear and front fogs usually only operate with head dipped lights on ? this is designed
I found a solution to my problem on the Internet and it worked a treat
My problem was that the dashboard and both rear lights would not turn on, but the fuses were okay and nothing had been changed
It turns out that in the passenger footwell there are a few relays right in the footwell where a person would put their feet. At first it was suggested that you push your feet really hard against the front of the footwell to see if that helps, and it did, but the lights went out again later. So it was then suggested that you look for a loose relay box where the feet go (on the left hand side at the top of the footwell, nearish to the bonnet release catch). It turns out there are 2or3 relay boxes there. SImply push each one to ensure that it is correctly seated, and voila the lights work perfectly again.
A simple fix that costs nothing, saves a potentially costly visit to a garage, and can be undertaked without any tools are even needing to open the bonnet.
May not solve the problems of those blowing fuses etc, but certainly worked a treat for me
So thankful for this site and the answer to the problem, which was infact the black connectors under the passenger side well..Cheers again i've saved myself £100's x
