My windows on my 2005 F150 FX4 will only operate from the drivers door switches. New switch panel on the drivers door.

What's FX4 ? How many door's ? Do the other door switches have battery power ? Can you test this with a volt meter ?

Principles of Operation
The left front window switch may be used to raise or lower all windows, or each individual side window may be controlled by the control switch located on each door panel.
The instrument control module (ICM) controls power to the power window system by activating or deactivating the delayed accessory relay.
The one-touch down feature will completely lower the driver side window when the master control is fully depressed, then released. The one-touch down feature is integrated into the LF window control switch.
There are 2 modes of LF window down operation: manual mode and auto mode. The manual mode is selected by pressing the LF window control switch to the 1st (DOWN) position. In manual mode, the window will move downward only while the switch is depressed. When the LF window control switch is pressed to the 2nd DOWN position, it enters auto mode and the window will open completely with a momentary press of the switch.
When the one-touch down feature has been activated, it will stay on until one of the following conditions is met:
  • The LF window control switch is pushed to the UP position.
  • The LF window control switch is released (OFF position) and then moved to the DOWN position (1st detent) or ONE-TOUCH DOWN (OTD) position (2nd detent).
  • 7 seconds have elapsed since OTD was initiated.
Window operation is enabled whenever the delayed accessory is active and the LF window control switch is pressed to the UP or DOWN position. The switch provides delayed accessory power to one side of the motor and ground to the other side. The one-touch down feature is not active when the LF window control switch is in the UP position.
Passenger windows may be raised or lowered using the LF window control switch or the appropriate passenger window control switch. Passenger window control switches receive power when the delayed accessory relay is active and the LF remote lock-out switch is in the UNLOCK position. When in the LOCK-OUT position, the passenger windows are deactivated.
The delayed accessory relay provides power for the operation of the power windows and the power roof opening panel. The delayed accessory relay is active whenever the ignition switch is in the RUN or the ACC position, or when the ignition switch is changed from RUN or ACC to the OFF/LOCK position and the LF and RF doors are closed.
The ICM will deactivate the delayed accessory feature when:
  • The LF door is ajar and the ignition switch is in the OFF/LOCK or KEY-OUT position.
  • The RF door is ajar and the ignition switch is in the OFF/LOCK or KEY-OUT position.
  • 10 minutes have elapsed since the ignition switch was changed from ACC or RUN to the OFF/LOCK position.

Acura How To Restore Electric Window One Touch Control

If you have disconnected the battery for any reason on your Acura you will find that the one touch control feature on your electric windows no longer operates.

You can resolve this by following this very simple procedure to reset the one touch control feature and get it operating again thereby saving you a trip to the dealer!

1) Start the engine and then push down on the drivers window switch until the window is fully open.

2) Pull up the drivers window switch until the window closes fully but keep holding the switch for at least 2 seconds after it closes.

3) Auto function should now be restored. Lower and raise the window to check the one touch control.

Hope this tip has helped. Please do leave a vote for it. Many thanks.

Try calibrating first, window up & hold switch for 3-4 seconds window down hold 3-4 seconds then back up & hold 3-4 seconds, check for the auto down to work if not then most likely the master switch is needed.

What are the possible causes for intermittent operation of driver side power windows on 2000 town car?

Some of the window motors had solder which would crack and break the connection. But the drivers door has an additional relay for the AUTO-UP or AUTO-DOWN feature that can also interrupt power. You would need to take off the door panel and test if you were getting power from the "AUTO" switch or if the motor was getting power and not performing. The drivers' door window is the most used in the car.

2003 F250 Power Windows won't work

check fuses 35 & 41 (10 amp, red).
it also shows an accesory delay relay in the fuse panel.
And fuse 601? 30 amp.

make sure you don't have lock-out on driver switch panel activated.

Power Window System
Features and Operation
NOTE: The accessory delay feature will allow power window operation up to 10 minutes after the ignition is off or until a door is opened.
If equipped with power windows, the window control switch (14529):
  • will operate the power windows only when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position.
  • is located on each front door trim panel, and Crew Cab and Excursion rear door trim panel.
  • may be used to raise or lower the driver side, passenger side and rear windows from the LF control on the driver side, or the passenger window from the passenger switch.
  • includes a one-touch down (OTD) feature for the driver door window.
  • can partially lower the driver side window when the LF window control switch is depressed half way (first detent).
  • will completely lower the driver side window when the LF window control switch is fully depressed and then released (second detent).
Power Window System — Modes of Operation
There are two modes of operation for the power window system.
Manual Mode
When the LH window control switch is pressed to the first down position, the window will move down until one of the following conditions are met:
  • The LH window control switch is no longer in the first down position.
  • The LH window control switch is pushed to the OTD position, causing the windows to enter auto mode.
Auto Mode
Auto mode provides the OTD feature. The OTD feature is activated when the LH window control switch, for the LH window, is pressed to the second down position.
Auto mode will be terminated when any of the following conditions are met:
  • The LH window control switch is pushed to the UP position.
  • The LH window control switch is released (OFF position) and then moved to the DOWN position (first detent) or OTD position (second detent).
  • Note: Delayed accessory feature must be active.
The OTD feature is controlled by the window control switch.

---------------------------------------------------------
Condition Possible Sources Action
  • All power windows are inoperative
  • Fuse(s).
  • Circuitry.
  • LF window control switch.
  • Accessory delay relay.

Power window on XC90 wont stay up on 'auto-up'??

Put the window down all the way and then hold the switch up, hold it until the window closes all the way up, and continue to hold it for about 10 sec. after the window is closed. Try this a few times, but if this does not work you will will probably have to take it to the dealer. They will have to do this for you with the Volvo computer scanner, this is covered under warranty if you are still with in by millage if not they will charge around 50 dollars.
